Duke football, a team that went 3 - 9 last year just went 8 - 4.

That's coaching and none of this bull**** about his own players needed or whatever other bs people spew here.

This coach and his staff stink to high heaven. That's what everyone neede to know. You think otherwise, I'll say it, you're a flat out idiot.
 
Recruiting rankings are highly accurate except for a few poorly coached teams that have terrible offensive systems. We are one of those teams.

Our “talent” is exactly what our recruiting rank says it is.

Our problem is that we play like **** and it starts with coaching. Not playing we’ll doesn’t mean you don’t have talent. It just means you are not playing well.

Our coaching staff lacks chemistry. That can work as long as it is between the offense and defense because they compete against each other. What you can’t have is division on the same side of the ball and we have it on both sides because Mario made mistakes with his hiring strategy. He went after a bunch of guys who had what he wanted individually, but didn’t fit together. That lack of chemistry has transferred down to the players.

Gattis was a huge mistake and it seems he turned things toxic when things didn’t go exactly the way he wanted. The player don’t have to like you but do have to respect you and it is obvious that neither is the case.

The difference between playing well and playing poorly is much smaller than people think. A team can fall apart fast. There are guys in that locker room that need to be gone. Mario has much work to do and needs a heavy dose of clarity to get back on track.

Andy Reid says hello. In the NFL Forrest Gregg coached the Bengals in the Super Bowl. In college Matt Campbell, Les Miles, Steve Adazzio.

There are coaching failures too. We gave up 40 points 4 times at home. Someone check if that ever happened. I primarily blame that on poor talent on D yes, but still, was last season D more talented? Dont think so. And of course we basically have no offense. Its primarily roster issues but the coaches have to contribute something and few of them are not
 
For what they had to work with this staff did wonders this year. Come on guys we scored 70 points on Bethune. If that isn’t great coaching then what is. Gattis, Ponce and co shouldn’t just be back but they should get raises for what they did against Bethune and Southern Miss
