Gattis needs to go immediately. Possibly more staff changes depending on what Mario decides to do.

Whether we keep the staff intact or not, next season will suck.

Mario and Gattis were both Butch GA’s. Yes, look it up. Butch was fine with boring by the book offenses also. They only flourished after 1st round talent took the field.

This is not an overnight fix, and my assumption is Gattis will find a gig where he isn’t despised.

Anyone disagreeing w/ u on the fact that this board underestimated how little our talent level is, is being disingenuous. Also, I continually point to the NFL as a baseline of how far we’ve fallen off in the scope of talent. However, the sentiments to keep this staff together for one more year is preposterous! Changes r needed; more specifically, changes to the OC, DB, & QBC room. We could have talent at the level of a FCS team & it’s still inexcusable in today’s football to avg. 16.1 ppg at any time.

We’re not playing all world teams; we’re playing The 2nd & 3rd rate teams of CFB: UNC, Pitt, UVA, Duke, VA Tech. My guy, we beat UVA in the legendary battle of field goals! Naw, my boy; u way off on this one. I promise u, a HS team like Mater Dei, Boscoe, STA, AH would score at least 21 ppg w/ this schedule.

We've been in agreement a lot this season, brother.

Some people put the onus on the coaches. Some put it on the players. Some say its a mix of both.

Regardless, the head man needs to change both some of the staff and some of the players. In a post I made yesterday, we are a bottom of the middle class in the ACC. That is our talent level, that is our record. Blown out every time we play Clemson. Blown out the last two times we've played FSU. Haven't beaten UNC in our last four tries. Split records against UVA, Duke, and Georgia Tech. This is who we are...middle of the road ACC team. A lot needs to be changed because we are still mid despite an "adult" in the room. People need to fall on the sword, even if the results are not completely their fault (coaches and players included in that comment). Everyone is at fault.

Really don’t give a **** about the talent level this year. The coaching has left me fit to be tied. It’s been frustrating to watch a half a decent roster (You’ll agree we have better talent than MTSU, right?) consistently put at a disadvantage in every aspect of gameplay, be it technique, alignment, decision making, or just plain execution. MTSUs of our schedule have consistently taken us behind the woodshed this year. Their coaches took care of putting their teams in position to win. Changes MUST happen this offseason for any hope of a better record next year. Based on the attrition numbers this December, and the incoming “Mario’s guys” via the portal and recruiting, we should be doing better than this year. There is no other way.
 
I don't understand the necessity to declare the atrocious condition of the program as ONLY a coaching problem or ONLY a talent problem. Fact is, turn over any of the rocks of this program and you will find dogsh!t underneath. I don't know how anyone can assert they know exactly what needs to be fixed. From my perspective, all of it needs fixing.
