It’s not just a him thing. All green coaches get the blame it’s understood in the business. When all of these dudes get away from Manny Diaz people will acknowledge who he worked forI was about to reply that I highly doubt he gets to handle playing time so he's probably getting yelled at by TAC's dad even though it's Manny's fault.
You think Manny has hurt his career more than helping it? I'm genuinely curious. It seems like he got good exposure but he also gets blamed for a lot of things he probably doesn't have control over.
@Poopscoop told everyone Patke was trash over a yr ago...and some posters hammered him about it...Lol....Forgot to add that Patke is a clown. The fans on here over the summer talking about how cerebral he is and what a great analytical mind he has, lol. He's been Manny's and Baker's guy at LB since Manny arrived at Miami in 2016. How's that going? ... Meanwhile, our STs are dogshyt outside of the kicker and punter whom he has ZERO to do with recruiting and developing.
You take 1 number that a kid got to run on 1 day for whatever reason. Before my senior year of college baseball, I went to track every night to improve my speed. On the night before the 1st day 9f practice, I did my workout. I was sore the next day. We ran the 60 yard dash (baseball's forty) and my time was terrible because I was sore from the night before. Had no idea we were going to get timed on the 1st day.
My point is there may be many reasons why he ran a slow time. Whatever day he ran. It's obvious he's not a slow player and his his high school track numbers back that up. You're not running the 55 meters in HS being 4.8. Your not even on the track team unless you throwing the shot put.
New Jersey is a very populated state especially for its geographic size. Cave would have to be the real deal to compete for his high school team in track especially in Camden, NJ. 22.86 in the 200? That's **** fast!!!
The bottom line is we have sub par play at MLB. This young man has athleticism. He can run sideline to sideline. He HASN'T been given an opportunity and should be.
Are you really a fan?? It's ok if you are not.No idea why I don’t know this but who is Tac?
The word on the street is that some of these parents and players are tired of trying to “handle it behind closed doors.” They’re tired of being lied to. They have eyes like we do. The play on the field and film does not lie.No, you don’t do that. Be a grown up and handle it behind closed doors.
You are missing the larger point. You are trying to parse and analyze based on the flawed premise this staff is using the correct methodology to evaluate these kids in practice.Kam was getting acclimated and eventually took snaps from an upperclassmen. Who is Brashard taking reps from? Restrepo? Y’all act like some of these players are head and shoulders better when that’s not the case. TAC came in the SAME class as Flagg. I think there could better situational coaching for sure. Not sure how good TAC is in coverage but he definitely has better speed than Flagg and would be a better spy.
You completely missed the point. Not going bother.Bro if you led and ended with this last line I would have liked your post and kept scrolling.
You are now trying to justify his "slow" 40 time with your own personal experience of being sore. Maybe he was, IDK, neither do you, but it was at the regional opening, doubt he did max squats the night before, but if that is now your argument, then hey maybe White ran a slow 40 as well and had an off day, he might actually be a 4.3 guy. Neither of us know, we are just going by the verified numbers.
You also do not know who was on the track team in HS. Maybe he was doing it solely to train for football to work on explosion and other kids were not very good. I could only see the top 20 of NJ track times for the 200 and they were all in the 21's (basically what Dorsett was running here at UM on the track team). You also left off the fact 22.86 was his PR. His other verified time I could find was a 23.56, so you try and discredit a bad number by saying he had an off day while relying on a PR that was almost a second faster. His PR in the 100 is 11.33, worst time was in the 12's.
All this to say he IS fast, prob our fastest LB, he was under the national elite time in the 55 as well and ran a sub 6, but to say he is Devin White 4.42 elite fast at 237lbs in a stretch.
You applaud helicopter parenting?
Of course it is. It’s embarrassing.I wouldn't consider this helicopter parenting.
I wouldn't consider this helicopter parenting.
Poor play in games is not an assumption. They were high on Flagg from his performance in the Spring. Hasn't lives up to itEverything you just said is an assumption. TAC played against the same team in Spring.
The moment he gets in and starts making plays, people’s heads are going to explode.Tirek Austin Cave, kid from NJ that Patke recruited. He should be on the field. no logical reason why he isn't getting any snaps
I wouldn't consider this helicopter parenting.
Yes, they came in together. Flagg is supposedly the more cerebral of the two. One of those kids that can think, diagnose the play quickly, and get downhill. The issue is if they ain't running in his immediate area, he probably gonna struggle a bit to get there. And if they're passing the ball.... oh gawd good luck... he may not ever get there. He's just not fast enough to cover fast RB's (on swings, consistently) or spy on running QB's. He may become a helluva coach one day.Didn’t TAC come in with Flagg? How was Flagg able to surpass him? And Keontra was switched and immediately took playing time. Not saying TAC doesn’t deserve some snaps, but I’m sure it’s not all on the coaches, probably a mix.
Facts! Why’d it take half the season for the coaches to stop giving Hall snaps over Kam? Why doesn’t Brashard play mor? Taylor? Etc.
The staff stinks, man.
This was the case for a lot of familiesThe word on the street is that some of these parents and players are tired of trying to “handle it behind closed doors.” They’re tired of being lied to. They have eyes like we do. The play on the field and film does not lie.
Take it as you will.
F it. you are right, he is the next coming of LT, I am all in. lets pin it and come back in a few years. I think you missed the point on this one with a p!ss poor comparison. You completely missed the point. Not going bother.
