Ok let me try and clear up any confusion. I said he was 260 coming out of HS, that is what his bio says, you said he never played a down of college football at that weight (unsure how you know but I looked and he was listed 240 at LSU his last year), so for sake of argument, it is irrelevant, I agreed, end point. 260 lbs as a high schooler, lost 20 lbs in spring ball, played every down at LSU at 240 or less. sure lets go with that.
The reason I pointed out 260 in high school was because I am trying to compare a HS/early college kid to a HS/early college kid. White was like a 4.6/4.5 guy at 18 years old at 260 lbs. That is nuts, freak athlete, he lost 20 lbs of prob bad weight and got faster, that happens a lotttt, can you think of a guy who gained 35 lbs and dropped his 40 by OVER .3 and shuttle by .4? I legit cant, its an honest question, not throwing shade.
TAC's verified 40 time was 4.76 out of HS. That is why I said maybe he has long speed, the 200 does not really translate to the NFL. I mean, thats over 2 football fields, and he did ALL that at 203 lbs in track shoes. Yes he is decently fast in the 200, but I just looked for track and field, D1, times are 20.87-22.20, for DIII times are 22.34-24.50, so with his time he could compete in DIII.
Also our spring game likely isnt a good barometer of speed if you are comparing him to what we had out there. Again, he needs to play, we have nothing to lose, but saying he is going to blow up to White status in 2 years and be a guy with top 5 pick measurables seems far fetched to me.
