TAC x Patke Interaction

No fam, Devin White was 260 coming out of HS, never said he played that weight in college. My point is he was prob a 4.5-4.6 guy at that weight, ran for 5,000 yards at that weight. He LOST 25lbs and ran a 4.42. That is BLAZING fast for a LB. You are asking TAC to GAIN 35 lbs and run .3 faster. The times you posted for track, he was running at 203 lbs, in HS. He might be 225 now. I wonder what his 200 time would be at 225, after he added 27 lbs you do not think he lost even a step but instead got that much faster?

Maybe he has long speed, but there are a tonnn of 6'0 235lb players so to say they have the same build is not really anything exceptional.

The reason I pointed out he was a RB was because he was fast and shifty AF, TAC we know is fast in a straight line in track shoes, but he ran **** near a 4.8 at 203 lbs, White was doing that at 260. If you want to say he has White measurable because they are 10lbs apart and the same height, fine no argument. But to me measurables also include things like shuttle and vert, to which they are not comparable.

And again, I do not want TAC to transfer, I think he can be a good LB here and no worse than what we see day in and day out. But to compare him to a top recruit, a top 5!!! overall draft pick and now a top NFL LB is setting the kid up for insane expectations.
I didn't say he wasn't 260 out of hs. He didn't play at thst weight yet you were comparing Cave to the 260. No point.

Where he run 4.8? He's not a 4.8. You don't run the 55 meters and 200 meters being a 4.8 guy.

I don't get your point. Austin-Cave is fast and has sideline to sideline speed. PERIOD. We saw it in the Spring game.. The guys in front of him don't have that. PLAY THE MAN or he should go elsewhere.

You saw Cribby just list his most likely transfer spots. Rutgers and Syracuse. If that is the case I don’t see how you are getting these Devin White comparisons. As much as it sucks so far our transfer attrition has not outdone what they did here for the most part.
A lot of the transfer market is relationships. I’d probably add Temple to that list. Texas A&M wouldn’t shock me if they had room. Not as familiar with their depth chart

Not sure if anyone else was by the gate where the players come out after the game, but I was walking up and saw TAC talking to his dad I’d assume and he looked extremely upset and dad was upset as well. They talked a while and then Patke came out and pulled them both by the side and the dad was going OFF on Patke. I couldn’t hear the convo but he was ****ed and TAC looked ****** and had the look of he’s leaving. I’m guessing Ragone getting those snaps put him over. Makes no sense he can’t get any PT with the way the LB play has been all year.
I’d be ****ed too. I wouldn’t trust Patke to take out my trash…. No offense to Ragone but I cannot understand how the likes of TAC Huff and Chase Smith can’t get on the field over #34

When i heard what Randy Shannon did to Devin Hester, i no longer put ANYTHING past staff. He was Devin freakin Hester smh.

I hope one of these games they HAVE to put him in and then i hope he goes the F off in that game, and when he comes to the sidelines, he walks over to the coaches like

Patke is the weakest link on a staff full of weak links but good lord at the assumption that some of these fringe guys are world beaters. There's a reason why TAC doesn't play and my guess would be we'd be wailing on him for his shortcomings if he did get more snaps
Yah right. Like he could play any worse. You have to actually get snaps before you can have more of them.
.
The bottom line is these guys in front of him aren't getting it done. I've listened to Diaz's BS praise of #11 and #44 when they've played the worst games at LB I've ever seen and the PFF numbers backed it up. If your holding players accountable, you put the next guy up in and you keep going down the line before you circle back to send a clear message thst a standard of play must be held.

To not get an opportunity with such poor play is mind blowing especially after getting high praises in the Spring and Fall camp.

Some of you are missing the point. Nobody said TAC is the next Devin White. The point is, you don’t have to be Devin White to be better than what we put on the field every Saturday. In most cases you don’t even have to have two legs.

Hey, you gotta give credit where credit is due.

I think it's crazier to cheer on a player's dad for cussing out a coach AFTER A WIN, not a good look for Father & Son.
It may be crazy, but it was warranted. I'm sure Dad thought he was having a private conversation.

Message needed to be sent. Not going to sit behind sub par play. Get your **** together or we out!!!

The knock on Cave has been grasping the mental aspect and I'm sure that Ragone knows all the calls to make as MLB. What I don't understand is the need to rotate him in there for 5 plays. If Flagg is your starter at MLB then why are you subbing him out for a 3rd stringer?

Ok let me try and clear up any confusion. I said he was 260 coming out of HS, that is what his bio says, you said he never played a down of college football at that weight (unsure how you know but I looked and he was listed 240 at LSU his last year), so for sake of argument, it is irrelevant, I agreed, end point. 260 lbs as a high schooler, lost 20 lbs in spring ball, played every down at LSU at 240 or less. sure lets go with that.

The reason I pointed out 260 in high school was because I am trying to compare a HS/early college kid to a HS/early college kid. White was like a 4.6/4.5 guy at 18 years old at 260 lbs. That is nuts, freak athlete, he lost 20 lbs of prob bad weight and got faster, that happens a lotttt, can you think of a guy who gained 35 lbs and dropped his 40 by OVER .3 and shuttle by .4? I legit cant, its an honest question, not throwing shade.

TAC's verified 40 time was 4.76 out of HS. That is why I said maybe he has long speed, the 200 does not really translate to the NFL. I mean, thats over 2 football fields, and he did ALL that at 203 lbs in track shoes. Yes he is decently fast in the 200, but I just looked for track and field, D1, times are 20.87-22.20, for DIII times are 22.34-24.50, so with his time he could compete in DIII.

Also our spring game likely isnt a good barometer of speed if you are comparing him to what we had out there. Again, he needs to play, we have nothing to lose, but saying he is going to blow up to White status in 2 years and be a guy with top 5 pick measurables seems far fetched to me.

The guy literally mentioned him by name.

Has nothing to do whether we won or not. LB play has been abysmal. A more talented player sits on the bench and Ragone gets PT instead. The same tired excuse gets rolled out similar to what we heard with GR in Manny's first year, then with LT this year, as well as Williams and Kitchens. In the end, TAC has to hope that other players are injured to where he can get PT. And when that happens, we'll likely see again that more talented guys were sitting on the bench as Manny plays favorites to seniority instead of performance.
