Syracuse Fans: Miami DL is better than Clemson's

I thought Miami’s defensive front was more impressive than Clemson. They may not weight 340 pounds but they were quicker and it was a huge difference most of the game that Dungey and the backs were under constant pressure on every play whereas Malik Rosier’s uniform remained pretty clean.

Not sure this needed its own thread, but felt it worth noting when I read this while tear-hunting on their board.

Jk bro

In all seriousness, yes this is deserving of it's own thread IMO. Great to hear, because it is a strength. Not saying I agree with them, but it is a dam good compliment.

Our DL is the exact reason we will limit VT & Notre Dame offense. They are good teams and they will get a couple 20+ yard runs but they will not do this all game like they are both doing to all of there opponents so fare.

We're better against that pass. But 260+ plus on the ground says slow your roll.

It comes down to gap integrity. I love how our front 7 is aggressive, but sometimes they get too carried away, and we end up paying the price.

Can I not respect a Syracuse fan's take on anything football related while still agreeing with this particular analysis? I'd rather keep that school and fanbase in a neat little box labeled "Annoying Dirty Basketball School".

Our D is the real deal folks. Time to embrace it. I don't see VT scoring much honestly. Now the problem is, will we?

There is concern in Blacksburg because they are not running the ball particularly well and they believe this may bite them especially when they play Miami and Georgia Tech on the road.

Especially vs ND

Notre Dame runs the ball very well but their passing game is suspect. You have to make them one dimensional. They have two studs on the left side of their line, but you can definitely do some things to get them into 3rd and long and 3rd and medium.

I just can’t take another loss to ND. It would be worse than injesting poison. Just figure out a way to get it done..

I actually felt that way before the game. Clemson have maybe higher rated players but overall we are better. Near the end Clemson DL had no push on their rushes while we were still punishing Dungy late in that game. I thought our DL would be the difference in the game and they were. Of LSU, NC St and Clemson Dungy had is worst stats throwing the ball.
