Coaching is overrated. You think Nick Saban would of won more games at Temple than Al Golden? Nope. Legendary coaches like Bobby Bowden, Woody Hayes, and Schnelly had overnight success? NO.

Unfortunately, we live in a society where people need instant results. These same guys would have been looking to lynch Saban after he went 7-6 his first year at Bama.

He would of been murdered on the Internet's by canes fans for that record. However, al golden is cut from the same cloth as Nick Saban. Both are builders and their teams this year will be better than their first year teams.

Exactly! Both are builders! Saban won NCs in year 4 at LSU and year 3 at Bama while Golden has the same record in year 4 than in year 1. They are both building greats things!

Saban did not have a cloud or the type of negative recruitment that Golden has had to deal with. If Golden didn't get blindsided by the investigation, canes would of won the national title in 2013.

Saban improved after the first year, and he coaches in the SEC not the ACC coastal. And Urban Meyer was dealing with NCAA sanctions and an investigation except he has finished top 5 at OSU plus a national title to go with. So there's no excuse for Golden, he continues to be stuck in his ways with his defensive scheme and refuses to adapt.

Only a matter of time before Jimbo, the Gatah, Saban , and *** take the majority of this class. It's inevitable unless we get real coaches. Would rather play for UCF than lose with Golden. Almost all the pieces were there. We were a qb away from winning the national championship. Since we now have Brad Kaaya and the Swag16 class, its going to be 2001 part deux in 2017.

Golden's best season was in 2013. He won 9 games because that schedule was pathetic. And what makes it even worse is Miami had to fight from 1st to 4th to get a win on a lot of them to get the win. Like that epic Wake Forest game. Golden could have the combine talents of the 2001 Canes and the 1995 Cornhuskers and still lose at least 4 games

Nick Saban used to win 8 games a year at Michigan State. Now that his roster is loaded with 5 star talent he's winning NCs. This is a player game. Coaching is tremendous overrated.

I wouldn't speak with such conviction. If the Admiral becomes President, he knows what it takes to become a champion and he will not accept mediocrity. Butch Davis is unmatched as a roster builder and player developer and will come at a price the school will be willing to pay. With Donna out, a lot can be possible.
