I would say hold the phone on Shodell statement, I think that maybe damage control!

Here is a very telling story about McBride and why he would want to stay close to home.

I think he was all about Bama but now the idea of leaving home and his close family has him 2nd guessing. I also think his family wants him closer so they can see him play on a regular basis.

Getting into bama was not the issue for him, read the article he has family in Tampa he needs to stay close to. His grandmother is 70 years old and retired an his mom is in a wheelchair. So making the trip to bama for games is not do able for a 70 yr old to make that drive. Where as the 3 hr drive to miami is do able.

How do you guys figure McBride wouldn't qualify for UM? Where are you getting your information?

Especially you guys saying that he couldn't get into bama! Nick Saban gets whatever he wants at Bama, **** even has the university declare any football with poor academics which is about 25% of his class, to have a learning disability. Which allows them to provide multiple tutors for individual players so imagine 1 player with 3 tutors for every subject, and the player gets to take untimed tests, an in some cases oral testing. All paid for by the state of alabama, so the added expense is not hitting the football teams budget or normall academic support budget. An those ACT/SAT minimums set up by the NCAA are not applicable because of the LD label. So getting into BAMA academicly as a player is never an issue if they want you!
