Sun Life Renovations Begin

Looks better already. Where do you get these pics from?

Almost all of them come from here: https://twitter.com/tomgarfinkel

Occasionally the Dolphins or Sun Life Stadium posts some new ones too.

Thanks for posting them, I'm to lazy to go to Twitter ;)

It's crazy to see the support behind the seats... "surgically" removed all the bs and will put new stuff there. Might make you think twice about structural integrity when it's shaking for FSU lol.

That stadium has never shook. EVER!!!

I meant FSU when we BBB, Butch gon' have it rockin'

it shook for Oklahoma, Ohio State, Florida State in 12 and 14, and Georgia Tech when Futch murdered someone on that block.

I miss the OB :frown-new: Yes sir, it might have only been a few times but it has rocked.

Canes305 must have not made it into the stadium yet when this happened:

Been going to games (season tickets) with my old man since I was 6 years old. I'm 36 now. This will be the first year that we do not renew our seats. When I said it has never rocked, I meant it when comparing it to the OB.

Yeah probably never shook like the OB and might never. I am an out of towner now but if I were still down there and had my old seats I wouldn't renew either. It's sad. At least they are making some improvements, it's certainly a band-aid but it's better than nothing. OB is gone and I've accepted the tarp life for now but we need to get the winning attitude in other areas. The stadium, while not the best, isn't the thing that's holding us back the most.

Sun Life Stadium has rocked before especially in the 90's with the Dolphins teams. I was there for almost all the home games in the 90's, and it was special when they were winning.

### Sports business items: The Dolphins have a good chance to land the 2019 or 2020 Super Bowls (finalists are announced in May) and the Marlins have an excellent chance to get the 2017 All-Star Game….

David Beckham’s group has zeroed in on three to five sites in the greater downtown Miami area for an MLS stadium, with a site near Marlins Park still in the running. (UM hasn’t been contacted about a joint stadium in recent months.)

Miami-Dade mayor Carlos Gimenez said he hasn’t spoken to Beckham’s group in four or five months. “Downtown property is very expensive; we had a quarter of an acre sell for $125 million on the water [and Beckham] has to assemble 9 or 10,” Gimenez said.

“Not saying they’re all $125 million, [but] it's hard to assemble those pieces. They want it to be urban. They wanted [fans to be able to] march to the match. There are a few places that could happen. A site near Marlins Park would be adequate.”

people will ***** about anything. A state of the art nfl stadium... **** that we want a piece of **** falling down stadium again! maybe we could be the laughing stock of the NCAA and play our games in that hilarious Miami Beach bowl configuration...
I would love to have that raggedy old stadium back

RIP OB

Yeah, nothing say's "beach" like being out in the middle of nowhere in central Florida.

UCF doing some, uh upgrades to their stadium too:

Looks lame.

ah, The Erector Set stadium. I would imagine there would be some tailgating with all the local commuter student's alternatives being the Applebees/Ruby Tuesday/TGIFs on Alafaya trail or the IHOP on University Blvd...Or their Parent's house!

UCF tailgating is unreal. That university is huge.

It was surreal. I think there were 40,000 people at the game and 80,000 people tailgating.
