He was good last spring. Started the season solid. Then the entire defense tanked. For PFF people I think first half of the season he had some pretty legit scores

Probably one of the players I’m most curious about with the switch to Heatherman

You aren’t wrong. He did look pretty good the first 4-5 games of the season. Most of our defense did. I actually thought he played decent against VT. Then came the Cal game. Everybody on defense looked awful. Wes had that controversial targeting/non-targeting call at the end of the game and he hasn’t been the same since then.

I was trying to find the thread where we were ranking our Top 10 players after a few games but couldn’t find it

I know Wes made a lot of peoples list

He was pretty small so it was gonna take time and I’m not claiming elite status, but hoping some of the vets show out a bit once they pick up the system
 
I stopped by a 7 Eleven tucked behind Ives Dairy Rd near Krop on a Saturday afternoon last year, and as I was standing in line to pay, a woman walked with a Bissainthe jersey and matching orange and green socks. I asked her “are you related to Wesley Bissainthe?” and she smiled and said “Yes that’s my son.” We chopped it up a bit and I asked her how the trip to Gainesville was the previous week, and wished her son luck for the rest of the season. His younger brother was there too.

Absolutely. I’m sure I had him in my top 5 for only defensive players after the first few weeks. Possibly top 3 behind Tyler Barron and Meesh Powell. It’s perplexing how everybody on defense regressed throughout the season other than Barrow and OJ.

Unless heatherman is teaching him how to communicate FAR BETTER and learn how to defend in pass coverage, He's going to be a huge liability again. Really hoping he can pick up the communication aspect more than anything.

Kid from Rutgers will most likely be a stand up rusher - sort of a LB/DE to help with the pass rush

I pray I'm wrong but I just don't think he has it in him, his highlights so far of his college career is mid at best.

hasnt done enough to really be a leader, needs to make alot more plays and make BIG time HITS and big time Plays. I don't see the speed or explosiveness esp for his size, this could really hurt us having a solid/mid player when we need an alpha/leader

I think there's a chance he can turn it around but I think we may need to look elsewhere if he is not taking that leap asap

I agree with you. Only banking on him being a year older and more mature to generate some type of actual impact.
