Stop Believing Certain Local "Personalities" Are Real Fans

We don't play in a dome, it was raining & it's Miami...

Are people really that ******' dumb? Smh, lol.

I agree with you though Tad, most of the Miami media personalities can't stand the Hurricanes, why exactly I have no idea, but we have a lot of Benedict Arnolds down here...

While your assertions are fairly accurate and other teams have legions of fanboys posing as journalists covering them that's not even what really bothers me as much as the phony fan/backstabbers that we're inundated with. Your Jackson, Manso, Feldman types have allegiance to the school and still aren't perfect but are at least mostly fair- but the real media coverage of the team isn't something I conflate when talking about guys like Cohen, Feast, etc.

So some of you consider Cohen a journalist, media member or essentially a reporter? I guess that's where I differ and take offense. I consider him a self-employed filmmaker that attaches himself like a leech to this program when it benefits him but will go out of his way to trash it when it can get him clicks, invites to talk shows or whenever he just wants to reveal that his ego is still bruised that the school doesn't appreciate him enough. That's why he got moist when he saw a chance to jump on an area (the stadium improvements) that had been allowed a whole game and a half to be celebrated by the general public and national media

As for the "facts" that he's "reporting". The panels in the roof aren't even fully installed so not only is his notion that last night was some sort of "test" flawed it's also totally dishonest. Also, wasn't this whole canopy system mostly being celebrated by the actual fanbase as a vehicle for shade and noise entrapment?

Believe me, I've been no apologist for that stadium or our administration but spare me the critiques of fraudulent fans like Feast and Cohen (and Luke to a different extent) that are all about their own self-interests first.......second, third and fourth.

Lastly, football is a freakin' outdoor sport. Some people need to seriously explore if their HMO will cover testosterone treatments.

Didn't he direct The U and The U Part 2? He has a lot of leeway if so.

Had the perfect seats, Section 234 Row 4. Was the last row covered by the concrete that shows all the scores. Stayed completely dry while the people right in front of me got soaked.

I was there and we did get drenched. It looks unfinished there are not tarps on over half the metal frame.

Agree. He can ***** and post all he wants. We're forever in debt to him for The U documentaries.

Did he profit from them too? Was he sued by a former player over setting up the access to the players that allowed him to even make the first one? I agree that the first one is an excellent movie and probably has served as a recruiting tool but let's not act as a) the content wasn't already there and ripe for the taking and that b) Cohen made it as some form of altruism or charity.

Stop giving people blind passes. If that's the case then let's never admonish Feast because he once paid tuition to the school or Luke because he was once photographed in a Canes jacket or Sileo because he once played half a season here or something.

You'd think Corben was the next Ken Burns by the way some people defer to him.

I'm not arguing that he did it out of the kindness of his own heart.

The story was ripe for the picking, but he was the person that got off his **** and brought it to the masses.

Tweeting about a leaky roof doesn't really register on my radar.

Fair enough. It's obviously not Earth shattering but it is indicative of a track record that exposes a lot of these guys as self-serving frauds. I don't like them getting passes or being held in high esteem by gullible fans or those that simply haven't noticed their willingness to throw the program and the school under the bus. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but occasionally very annoying.

We got Peter Ariz! He's bout to take this **** over....He's gonna get Joe Z's spot within the next 5 years

Who is Cohen?

Exactly. That's what Billy said after he changed it to Corben. Wouldn't want to lose any childhood acting roles with an "ethnic" surname I guess.

I get why people did that ions ago because it was a different day and age and it was a serious issue at one time. I suppose that's why Bernie Schwartz became Tony Curtis and even Robert Zimmerman became Bob Dylan. I don't get why Corben would feel the need to do that, being of a later generation, where religious affiliations don't have the same ramifications today. I'll keep my ethnic surname except on CIS.

Dude- Corben has kept us relevant for 10 plus yrs while our sucky team has been completely irrelevant. Stop coming down on this dude for a stupid tweet about the stadium leaking. UM Football owes Billy big time!
