Stop ******* around. We all know Lane is the guy.

This is where you are mistaken also...Franklin didn't take over when pedo state went through their ****..it was bill Obrien who did it for 2 years immediately after...and he had like 8-4 seasons when they were depleted...Franklin didn't have to deal with the BS...
And he started season 1 and 2 with 7-6 seasons...worse than Bill Obrien...
Recently he had a losing record last season...and is nearly that this season...with a losing record in conference...he has had more than enough time and resources and players to be an 8-4 season average for 8 years...
The scandals ended in 2011..bill was the coach going through that. After bill was gone, Franklin took over a mismanaged roster in 2014 that had to be rebuilt..the year prior to Franklin they were 7-6..he went 7-6 his first 2 szns then had 3 11 win szn. Don’t act like he took over a program that was winning. USC had its scandal when lane took over too..he started off well..then the results tailed off even with the top classes he signed. So that’s either bad roster management in recruiting or just mediocre coaching with a talented roster …but big dawg I’m still waiting on your top 10 list of coaches rn..

Blows my mind that anyone thinks these guys are more qualified than The Iceman.

Ehh idk I need to see what he does with them without a Matt Carrol at QB. He’s **** near the best QB in the SEC . Idk why y’all ignoring the fact that Lane just walked into that
**** near best QB? Corral is by far the best QB, he’s been hobbled with a bad ankel injury and his top 3 WR have been pity most of the season. Otherwise he’d be Heisman front runner. Young at Alabama is good but Corral is better IMO.

Sorry if this was already discussed but can anyone speak to Lane’s recruiting ability. I did a quick scan of ole miss classes and nothing really jumped out to me as elite. I get he’s a brilliant offensive mind but I feel like someone has to be able to lock it down in sourh Florida. Just interested in hearing what you guys that want him see purely from a recruiting perspective.

Mario has something good going on in Oregon, with lower expectations there, and Nike money. He might have more of a chance to realistically get to the playoffs there than the ACC. They're the dominant team now. I've heard his wife hates it there though, at least from some of the posts here, so who knows. Miami, with the right coach, has everything needed to win.
Disagree on the “lowered expectations”. Oregon fans have been incorrigible since the Chip Kelly era and believe they’re a powerhouse. Many already have Mario on the hot seat if he doesn’t reach the Playoffs this year—especially after he already won the PAC-12 and a Rose Bowl early on.

Yea I like Young and Rogers is pretty good too...I haven’t had a chance to see Corral much this year just know he was already a dude last year so I figured if Ole Miss is having a good year he’s got a big hand in it

Lane Train with a staff that includes Art Briles as OC and Ed Orgeron in some capacity for his recruiting prowess… that would be awesome.

Only bring in someone who won several hardware's proven that can compete that's all.. I don't want no mediocre I don't want no mediocre 🎤🎶🎶🙏🏿

Come on man. If you don't like or want Kiffin, just say that you don't like him. He is very arrogant and unpredictable. I don't know if he's the right guy for the job either, but there are a lot of myths about him that some people perceive as true. Some people use these myths about him to support their opinion of him

LANE KIFFIN MYTHS
1. Fired at Tennessee - FALSE
2. Losing records at schools - FALSE, except for 1 season at FAU. I agree that 7-6 is not acceptable at schools like Tennessee and USC, but its not a losing record
3. Poor Recruiter - FALSE. Others have made this claim. He recruited lights out at USC and is doing good job at Ole Miss so far.
4. Poor Play Caller - FALSE. He has had success ever where he's been as offense coordinator/play caller. Is he the GOAT? Of course not, but he's pretty good.
5. Fired at USC - TRUE
6. Failed at Tennessee - FALSE. Took over team in turmoil. Played better than previous season and had them playing tough, but he didn't fail. Left them high and dry.
6. Failed at USC - TRUE. Too much talent to not have better record there and lost some head scratchers for sure. Still had overall winning record

USC he was also dealing with scholarship restrictions and the ncaa cloud. Wasn't exactly the greatest situation. The season he went 10-2, he only had 51 scholarship players on the roster. Would have played in the Pac12 title game and likely won, but they were banned from postseason play.

TVD would kill it in Kiffin's offense. Also imagine Rooster doing more than just inside zones all **** game? Not my #1 choice but the offense would be fun to watch.

The defense on the other hand? Idk...
Recruiting worries me… but it’s a distant second to the defense. I have zero confidence in his DC right now and hope he requests a sizeable DC salary to bring in the right guy

Hey brother I sent it way earlier...scroll back like hours back lol

Here’s a guy who won at vandy..then at Penn state got them back in the top tier of the 2nd best conference in CFB
The man is 10-9 in his last 19 games, I would hardly say he has them in the top tier of the big10. I mean by that math, Manny has been doing outstanding!
