still thousands of tickets for sale in upper deck end zones

So it’s the ACC’s incompetence? Fair enough.

The ACC is trying to put their biggest games in primetime as many times as possible.

So not incompetence, fella.

I'm certainly no fan of the All Carolina Conference's power structure but this conspiracy theory/claim of incompetence is a bit of a stretch. Real programs can fill stadiums in back to back weeks. And we will. That said, you can't hold it against someone that has to travel from out of state or something for having to choose only one of these games. It won't affect attendance this Sat though.

My point isn't so much about attendance but more on performance. The ACC is doing itself a disservice by scheduling all these big games so consecutively for most teams. Spread them out a little bit.

What does primetime games have to do with scheduling big games back to back to back in some cases?

Notre Dame might be contractually obligated to play 5 ACC teams a year but I don't think putting them bacl-to-back with VT was a conspiracy.

Sorry to crumple your tinfoil hat.

You still talking? The argument was incompetence. The ACC scheduling Miami to play FSU, UNC, VT and ND in October of 2016 is suicide. You don't see the SEC scheduling Bama play LSU and Auburn back to back.

For example, in 2016, ACC scheduled Miami vs. FSU, UNC, VT (Thursday night) and at ND. Miami went 0-4 in that time span. Why not spread those games out a bit to give Miami a little breathing room? Instead, the ACC put Miami in a position to fail and we lost 4 games in a row.

The only "scheduled" loss was the road game at VT on Thursday night after a Saturday game.

The were no excuses for the others.

There is no excuse for the others. Agree 100%. However, still doesn't change the fact the ACC is stupid for putting that schedule together. They do it with everyone in the ACC. It is idiotic.

For everyone at the game and tailigating: set an alarm for 45 min before kickoff. Get in your **** seats. We usually fill in midway through the first, but for once I'd love to get our team fired up with a full crowd when they run out. There's liquor in the stadium! Drink here!

I would like that also that when national television comes on the air at 8 p.m. , the stands are relatively packed. I also would like to see the following happen. Have the stadium play "In the Air Tonight" right before they come out and everybody in the stadium hold up there cellphone with the flashlight on. Could you just imagine that since this will be the first night game in a very long time.

Wellllll, I'll cede you this- the football side of the ACC has miles to go before they catch the SEC or even the Big Ten in beginning to run their enterprise like a separate entity from the NCAA and be proficient in propaganda dissemination, power moves with the media and governing bodies and getting all their programs to accept the same talking points. Jesu Christo, a majority of this country (and media) bought into the SEC myth just because even clowns like Bielema and Freeze were on the same page of preaching conference superiority to anybody that'd listen to their fat faces. So while I don't think there's any conspiracy within the ACC, I wouldn't doubt it's less adroit at "playing the game" perhaps even at scheduling as you assert.

I'd personally appreciate it if whomever handles the music didn't play Enter Sandman like they did a few years ago...at home...vs VT!!!!

We'll be alright. On pace to have our largest turn out by far.

We'll sell a ton of tickets between Wed and Fri of this week.

This time of the week for Syracuse and GT we were still around 3,500 on the espn ticket section which shows vivid seats. Today we are at 1,600.

There appears to be 3,000 to 4,000 unsold tickets AT most. Probably less than 3,000. That stadium should be pandemonium on Saturday night.

So now it's stupid and idiotic.

Earlier it was a conspiracy and then you said it was incompetence.

You can't even seem to settle on what it is.

This is our 10th season in Hard Rock and we have yet to sell it out. I don't think it will be this game either. But a win Saturday may do it for Norte Dame.

FSU games were sold out in 2010, 2014 and 2016 and the UF game in 2013.

I was at all of those games and they were not sold out. I don't even think they were announced as sell outs. Here is a picture of the UF game you are talking about with probably 5,000 empty seats.

Empty seats don't always mean it was "not a sell out!"
