still thousands of tickets for sale in upper deck end zones

This is our 10th season in Hard Rock and we have yet to sell it out. I don't think it will be this game either. But a win Saturday may do it for Norte Dame.

FSU games were sold out in 2010, 2014 and 2016 and the UF game in 2013.

I was at all of those games and they were not sold out. I don't even think they were announced as sell outs. Here is a picture of the UF game you are talking about with probably 5,000 empty seats.

Nice try. Only had to spot check one to find out that you're already wrong on this. 76,869 announced for the 2013 UiF game.

I was at that game and last year vs FSU. Those were NOT full. Maybe they sold all the tickets but many didn't show up. I can say last year vs FSU was LOUD, I couldn't hear my cousin sitting next to me. I think the loudest was Jamal Carter on the big screen talking smack at the coin toss, place went nuts! Also for that BS targeting call against him. We absolutely need all hands on deck and it will be LOUD. No excuses!!

Here's another photo from that UiF game. Looks pretty full to me sans that one upper deck section that is completely empty and probably seated one of the bands. I'm no apologist for Sun Lifeless attendance and have also been to almost every game since we moved there but sometimes our memories about butts in seats tend to trend toward the negative unfairly.

I think we'll be near capacity. A lot of excitement around this program.

Friends of mine who are casual fans are even thinking of going

The Florida band is on the right side. Miami has yet to fill the entire stadium at SLS even for the big games. Always empty sections in the upper deck.

Please don't forget that many of our fans can't make it inside the stadium due to tailgating several hours before the game. Not an excuse, just an observation.

I've commented on this, the parking lots are packed and I usually go in about 30 min before kickoff. It's insane how many empty seats there are from kickoff until around Midway through the 1st quarter. All of a sudden I'll look around and plenty of people have piled in. I understand tailgating is great and all but come on, let's get to the seats by kickoff, that's also when you'll see all the pictures about the attendance and the commentators talking about it, not that I care about what they think, just saying

I've always been a conspiracy theorist. I whole heartedly believe that the powers that be in the ACC take special aim to hold us down as best they can.

In this scenario I believe the ACC scheduled VT and ND back to back at home knowing that the majority of the traveling UM fan base, if forced to choose, would plan to attend ND and pass on VT. This move in their minds could potentially result in lackluster attendance for the most important coastal game of the year. It was their best shot to make us look like **** and if we don't cram another few thousand in the seats wearing orange and green they may succeed.

I want to attend this game very much but I cannot because I have made plans to be at the game next week and my schedule doesn't allow me to travel down back to back weekends. I hope those of you on the fence go ahead and pull the trigger.

Spot on. I actually think part of the issue is ironic too. They've made it sooooo easy to get into the stadium (relative to other venue entrance line wait times) that our tailgaters don't feel any pressure to shut down the party almost right up to or even after kickoff because they can essentially breeze into the stadium. I've found myself stupidly doing this- not shutting down our tailgate because I'm so hammered and it seems like nobody else has shut down theirs yet and then you look and kickoff is 2 mins away.

Okay. I guess that ONE completely empty section was accidentally not sold OR all those ticket holders just decided to be bad fans and colluded to not show up. Because if we want to show pictures as proof and dispute announced attendance figures then my pic here shows the stadium essentially "full" sans that one block of seats.

If this game isn’t sold out then all the flack we take from other fan bases on attendance is warranted. This is the biggest game in a decade plus. I think there’s alot of overreactors here & it sells out with ease. Can’t imagine it not.

Any decent lowers are starting at over $100 now on StubHub. That price will hold or increase so any available uppers are going to disappear.

All of those games officially sold out beyond capacity.

Just judging by what's available on Stubhub and the prices they're going for, this game will sell out before kickoff.

Not going to speculate on attendance numbers, but I do think that this will be the loudest game we've ever experienced at this stadium, unless the team just doesn't show up like the 2015 Clemson game. If it's any kind of a game we are in, it's going to be insanely loud, and it could be a real advantage for us.
