Stevenson Tears.... Of Joy????

This staff felt good about Haselwood until he told them he wasn’t coming. Kirby probably convinced Stevenson to wait.

This staff always feels good until the kid calls with the bad news. They felt good about Jeudy. They felt good about the AH kids. They felt good about Whoopie. They felt good about Ingraham. They felt good about the Lakeland kids. They get played over and over. Until TS goes public, what anyone on this staff thinks is irrelevant.

My guy on the staff said Stevenson hasn’t signed anywhere yet. Anyone who says he’s signed for either program is lying.

Staff does feel really good about him although they’ve been played by recruits before.

I responded to this in another thread. Stevenson not signing would be a surprise because he was thought to be an early entrant. If he really didn't sign by Dec. 21 then enrolling early is out unless he signs a non-binding grant-aid agreement. Maybe he took that extra step to keep everything quiet which is what Hazelwood considered doing too. We just didn't hear that about Stevenson though.

Maybe your buddy was instructed to not give anything away involving Stevenson and he followed orders. Would be a pleasant surprise.

I’m worried about the last minute wire transfer , allegedly

I swear to god this staff operates like a guy with a girlfriend, who then breaks up with his GF because a Hooters waitress said he was cute, thinking he had a chance

Here what I know, kids who sign with UM, sign. Kids that delay, for any reason-- all-star games, birthdays, vacations, Bar Mitzvahs-- don't.

He can announce on the 5th and then enroll in whatever school he chooses. So he can still enroll early.

True but they also felt good on all the kids they did get too and look what happened. It’s easy to pick and choose and lamenate who we didn’t get but then the theory doesn’t apply to the ones who we did get under the staff tbqh

just because recruiting sites said they felt good, it doesnt meant they were as confident as people believe. i dont think many people though the lakeland kids were coming here.

If it’s the one I believe you are speaking of that was going to happen either way, nothing to do with Reke (who will probably play DB) and more to do with that player being a stud

Campbell & Surtain were coming too. Stevenson is not coming. We don’t get these kids anymore because we do not pay up. Get it through your brains already.

Totally different situations in terms of interest and how the kids acted. Campbell and Surtain never had genuine interest, no matter how much the people on this board wanted them to. They also proved that repeatedly by very rarely visiting. Stevenson wants to come to Miami. He has legitimate interest.

But similar situations in that all 3 of these kids are being paid a lot more than Miami can offer. Stevenson is about as blatant a case as you can have. Mom wants the bag. The kid wants to play at home with his boys and his girl in the stands. About as cut and dry as you can get with this one. And money usually talks.
