For me it's always about the talent not the numbers. Are we hitting the targets we want to hit and did we cover the gaps we needed to cover on the roster. Gotta take transfers into consideration, as well.

Click bait. No chance at #1. These articles and others are nothing more than hyperbolic statements aimed at generating interest. The recruiting vets know our history and capabilities.

We do have momentum following last year’s run coupled with the influx of cash from reaching the finals. On the other hand, it has been reported that we can expect a low number of signees. So, realistically I am expecting …

The floor is a top 10 class.
The ceiling is a top 3 class.

The last 5 years, the #1 team has signed 3+ 5 stars:

26 USC > 3
25 Texas > 5
24 UGA > 5
23 Bama > 9
22 A&M > 8

Lennear, Henderson, and Matthews will at least give us a shot if we get all 3. Oklahoma and A&M already have 3 committed. My extremely scientific and mathematical estimation gives us a 10% shot of ending #1.

Blue chip percentage plus composite average are the metrics. Rankings don't matter as much

And the film against legit comp. Every year some 3 star dominates some overhyped 5 star in season and all the nerds write it off then the season starts and the 5 star is buried on whatever depth chart and the 3 star starts somewhere unexpectedly

our portal evals in 2025 were money ... poyser, lucas, scott, toure, thomas, o'connor, marion, brown, brockermeyer, daniels ... all that production/contribution in ONE class is an insane hit rate ... s/o to the staff
