Adrian colbert couldn’t touch the field at texas but came here and became a starter. Walker didn’t start at wake and his numbers were mid but look at him last year at msu. Jameson williams couldn’t get on the field at osu but went to bama and became the best wr in cfb. Not saying Wynn would play to the level of those guys but it’s literally a 1 year rental there is no risk

This is the typical stuff that we hear over and over again, in a variety of contexts. Because a few exceptions exist, therefore we should have unlimited hope that every kid will prove to be that very same exception.

The point was never to argue whether we should be chasing 1-year-rental unicorns, it was to show that Mario has already demonstrated a clear preference to use ICs on younger transfers. That part is inarguable.

Why is this still a convo? We got jackson now so it doesn’t even matter

Fair point. But we can also acknowledge why it may not be such a great idea to chase a 1-year-rental who has barely played, over a second year guy with lots of eligibility left.

It's an ongoing discussion that is not limited to this one position on the field.
