It is weird Eddie Cane, but only one side has substantial proof that he has singled them out as a demographic while insulting and dismissing them as a whole. And would be black people. 2) Many uneducated white men don't understand socioeconomic function and definition of racism. They don't know what the term means or how it functions. They are also oblivious to white supremacy (in their subconscious) and how if anyone challenges it, they are a racist. I hope this truth helps.

So, by definition, are you racist? You seem to be doing a lot of psychological projection.

Skip was right, CFB DOES need a Rooney Rule.

If the NCAA had a Rooney rule, the 14 schools that are looking for coaches would all have to interview the same two guys. There just aren't enough qualified black assistants out there to force everyone to bring one in for an interview.

Why is that? Because they aren't given the opportunity. I

Prove it. Who are all of the excellent black assistant coaches who have been held back? Don't be a Smiff. Give us some hard evidence.

Got into a huge debate about this subject/video with my black buddies about this. (yesterday on Facebook)

Their aim was "the sport is dominated by blacks yet there's only so many black HC's."
Then I got called a racist when I said that the sport maybe dominated by blacks but the coaching profession is dominated mainly by whites.

When I asked them to name a single black Coordinator who's being passed up for HC gigs all I heard was crickets. All my notifications stopped. LOL

We won't even talk about the racism that goes on down here. You ain't getting an HC job down here if you're white unless it's at Cooper City, Cypress Bay or Western. LOL

it isnt racism when its done the other way around......

If you don't think there's racism in college football, you're naive.

There should be a Rooney Rule (especially in the SEC). How did Will Muschamp get a job so fast at S.Carolina?

Because South Carolina likes something about Will Muschamp. Who is the black assistant who applied, and how is that black assistant the most qualified person for the South Carolina job?

FYI - it's not South Carolina's job to go out and find black candidates.

Eight pages, and we still don't have a list of the black assistants who are ready to be a head coach.

Like gogeta said, First Take is for dumb people. It's intended to get people wound up. Stop watching ESPN programming when there isn't a game on. Watch the local news if you want highlights.

Howevvahhhhh,

I don't really have a problem with what he said. But if your argument is that too many mediocre white coaches get more 2nd chances than black ones, Richt is a poor example. He may not be Urban or Saban, but we didn't hire Ron Zook or that schlep currently at Nebraska either. We got a legit dude with a proven track record and name recognition nationwide.

No I'm not racist by definition nor in the ability of my thoughts and behaviors to indirectly or directly impact anyone's life socioeconomically. There"s a huge difference between prejudice and racism. Racism denotes the ability of an individual or group to use its prejudice to impact the opportunities or liberty of another group. Racism is action-based where prejudice is just thoughts and beliefs without the ability to wield control or power using them. Prejudice beliefs of a black person cannot impact any of your abilities to get adequate schooling for your children, a job opportunity, a loan, adequate housing, etc etc.. Black people don't own infrastructure in order to impose any prejudice beliefs and morph them into functional or institutionalized racism. Real simple stuff MovingZen.

Thank you for admitting that blacks have those thoughts, they just don't have the power to implement them. In other words, you would be racist if you had any kind of power over white people.

Every human on Earth probably has prejudice thoughts, the history behind how and why the came about (the root cause of them) is the needed context to understand them though. Now the assumption that black people would wield the power the same is a historical fallacy. They had the power to for thousands of year and didn't, to the contrary they were inviting and hospitable to any group or civilization that wanted to learn from Africa. Proof is the root of European philosophy, astronomy, mathematics, medicine, sciences, and psychology having clear beginning in the African Mystery Systems, Greeks and Romans traveled to Africa for years to learn. None of them recounted any beef. Also, the Native Americans were welcoming of European settlers, teaching them everything they knew as well. We all know what both lands got in return though. Many black people love and admire white people more than themselves (this was taught and ingrained over 400 years of enslavement and oppression). Black people would never rise up and commit the same atrocities some Europeans unprovokingly have all across our planet. That feeling you have is a projection and subconscious guilt mixed with fear. Just pray like Thomas Jefferson did that our God will not be the Just God he claims to be, because if so, there will be **** to pay (literally) for their behaviors.

I can promise that black people will never do U like you've done them (even given the same ability to do so), but I can't make any promises regarding any Higher Power lol!

Simple? I don't know who you are or if you can affect anyone socioeconomically...and I'm glad you can't because you seem pretty **** prejudiced. The world needs less prejudice and racism. Hopefully my son's children will grow up to a better environment than what we have now.

I'ma lock this only because it's moved pretty substantially away from Miami Football. Sorry.
