Stacy Coley Uh-Oh

The kid had a great fresman year and the staff did not develop him enough and when KB came in he took a big step forward vs his Soph year.

hey may be making a mistake but its his life / decision. We don't know his situation and hey may lose million but if he gets drafted he could make some decent money and maybe an NFL team can develop him better then a college team.

The kid committed and played for us and brought excitement to us under the the worst coaching staff we had.

if he leaves for the NFL.. i thank him and was great watching him play .. if he stays hope CMR's staff develops him

Well said. It's gotta be a tough decision for him.

But I forgot, everyone is great once they leave here, great prior to being here and the guys that are here are trash and there is a Freshman better than them anyway.

Are you high?

I suppose I will have to explain it to you.
Mike James was garbage and Duke was better than him. Then when Duke was a Freshman he was amazing, by the time Duke left we actually had guys saying that Yearby was better. Now that Duke is gone, he was amazing again.

Same thing happened in the case of both Travis Benjamin and Dorsett. Again, as recruits they were going to be amazing, so fast etc. Then they have a few bad games or a bad yr and the guy below them is better. Now that they have left people love to shout at the rooftops at how great Tb or PD are.

Do you get the analogy yet?

I guess I can see where the wording was a bit convoluted but I think I made the point.
SC was going to be the best here since Andre Johnson, then he had an amazing yr, and everyone is down on the kid. He has a fairly good JR yr and is thinking pro and everyone ***** on him again. However, I think when he leaves we will look back and say, yeah he was pretty good. When in reality he was pretty good all along. He will get to the league and I believe he will have a pretty good career.

Now in my personal opinion I think he should come back. But if his life says that he should probably go, then best of luck to you and thanks for all you did while you were here.

So you are not telling me that there were not posts from last season and even this preseason where there was speculation that yearly is better than Duke? I am not willing to do the research. But I come here enough to remember the conversations. There were more than one that is for sure. I suppose if you do not believe me then maybe you can do the research and prove me wrong... but those conversations took place...

Per Matt Porter: Saw some chatter about Stacy Coley changing his Facebook "employer" to "NFL." FWIW, timestamp shows he did that in May 2014.

So Stacy had a good freshman year and thought he was on the path to 3 & done. Then, he sets his employer status to change to NFL for December 2015 because he figures he will have declared by then. To summarize, everyone is overreacting to a Facebook post that was set almost two years ago

He's a third rounder when he freaks people out at the combine.

They'll look at his film and see too much ice cream, not enough toughening up.

In an NFL camp he'll get tough quick and make an immediate impact on Sundays as a rookie.

No chance in **** he is a third rounder.

Thats not how making a definitive statement works, you are the one claiming something, not me.

Well I did some research for ya. about 3 posts above I linked a thread from the preseason where guys are claiming we won't miss Duke with the backs we have. That is implying the guys we have are better, or as good. Again there was quite a few posts of the like. But again, I don't really have anything to prove to you. If you do not believe me prove me wrong. other wise I guess we will agree to disagree, but there is some proof for you...

LOL We don't even know what that means. It could mean he is starting to work harder with the NFL on his mind. It could mean he's leaving. Or it could just be a young man trolling on Twitter like most people do on Twitter.

Good thing half the posters trashed the kid over nothing.

He's coming back, bet on it. If he's not convinced of that now, he will be after the NFL draft advisory team tells him he's no better than 6th round

Oh and further down that thread post number 39 dude says "Yearby is just as talented as Duke". Please read on, you will also see the references by other posters about "it" or "this ****" getting out of hand. "it" being the threads where guys are ****ting on Duke and touting the freshman, or underclassmen. Point made yet?

So people saying the advancement of our current stable of backs being able to offset the loss of duke from the run game = saying yearby is better than duke?

I distinctly remember people saying that walton is a beast, yearby will get better with gus so there won't be a huge fall off. Wether I agree with that or not aside, that statement is not the same as the statement you are claiming was made by apparently a ton of people since you were so quick to apply it as a generalization of the porsters on the site.

So in short, you will not back up your claim, so no we won't be agreeing to disagree, we will agree that you are making **** up in an attempt to look above the fray on your quest to white knight for players in the program.

It would be a monumentally bad decision to not even wait for the NFL advisory board's opinion.

This dude has always been about making $ in the L. I think he'd at least hear them out.

I vouch for seeing that last season

Read further down that thread. A guy says those EXACT words. "Yearby is every bit as talented as Duke". I showed you a thread where the words are written. In that thread there is references to the ongoing debate on the site regarding the rb situation I am referring to. But you have an agenda to disprove whatever I am saying even though I am "proving it". So I guess instead of agreeing to disagree, Ill jut say "your right, your so right, your always right because you are the top porster on CIS". You happy now? Ohh and don't pay attention to the guy above this that is vouching for these discussions happening, he must be high too.

And the only reason I didn't want to do the research is because the search function blows. It searches words only and not phrases ,so if I write in "yearby better than duke" it searches for the words nearby, better, than, duke. In which if brings up every single thread because the words "better" or "than" happen to be fairly common.
