Stacy Coley Uh-Oh

We can count on Cager, Herndon, and Njoku, who I think could play receiver if we needed him to. We get Bruce and Richards and I'm cool. Good luck to Stacy.

Regardless of where he gets drafted the bottom line is that the Miami offense was better with him playing. Right now, outside of Coley who is on that roster can stretch a defense vertically?( maybe Cager?). If Coley stays I think he has a monster senior year. I think the NFL will have big questions - right now- in regards to his overall durability and toughness.

But yeah, leaving now does reek of going to the lowest bidder

The kid had a great fresman year and the staff did not develop him enough and when KB came in he took a big step forward vs his Soph year.

hey may be making a mistake but its his life / decision. We don't know his situation and hey may lose million but if he gets drafted he could make some decent money and maybe an NFL team can develop him better then a college team.

The kid committed and played for us and brought excitement to us under the the worst coaching staff we had.

if he leaves for the NFL.. i thank him and was great watching him play .. if he stays hope CMR's staff develops him

Lol y'all are some lame *** *** *** *****es on this site... Coley is going to do great in the NFL. Fake *** *****es on this site only support a cane up until he can no longer do something for you.

Stefon Diggs didn't do **** in College now he's balling, the talent doesn't go anywhere and Stacy got talent and heart unlike u lames on here.

I agree people should not be dogging Coley. But he has a lot to gain by coming back. He still has a lot of things to prove to the NFL people - just being real. Too many question marks with him that he can answer with anotheer year IMO.

Right now if he leaves today, he's a lower round guy IMO, but if he stays a year he has a chance to prove he's a high round pick.

Artie Burns should go pro IMO.

Stacey Coley will be a baller on Sundays for years to come. It would be great to have the young man hone his skills for one more year, I truly believe he would benefit incredibly. However, he is a Cane that gave us three years of service, I wish him nothing but success and prosperity at the next level, as an athlete and a individual. Kid has been all class during his Canes career. Best of luck Mr. Coley!!1

Three and done is so common now that it is expected. The key in NFL now is the second contract. 1st one is more or less codified. The 2nd one is payday. So kids just want to get the clock ticking. The thing their egos make them ignore is that IF you get drafted high, you get a ton more slack and chances to stick. Free agents get cut first -- unless they are really showing off like out CC boy in Jax. Late rounds are also easy to cut. If Coley goes first three rounds fine, but if he goes late all those missed days and weeks for little injuries will get him cut.

I would think a another year with Kaaya (who NFL will be watching every breath of) and Mark, a prove high end QB man, should benefit Coley a lot. But even a late round paycheck can be tempting.

He's a less refined, poor man's Nelson Agholor. He will get eaten alive in the NFL, at least early on.

FYI - Stacey Coley's Facebook page has said "working for the NFL" for many months. In fact, I believe I first noticed it in August and took note.

My assumption is that he thought this was his last year and was going to put in the work/stats to get a decent draft position. Today with his moderate stats, immaturity on the field, Kaaya being his QB and Richt getting hired, I truly believe he will be back for one more year.

But again, I'm not sure how this is news right now - his Facebook page has said that for quite some time now, not just December 2015.

one year here wont change much imo. he still wont be consistent enough to be #1 or #2 receiver. his ceiling is desean jackson, his floor is roscoe parish.

He has had the same status on Facebook since he was a Frosh.

Awkward.

Ever cross your mind that "working for the NFL" means that's his goal to reach? That he's putting in work to get there.

5th rounder at best. He will test well in the 40 but that's about it. He doesn't have great size or strength and has shown inconsistent hands in the past. Needs to return IMO.

I actually know some people in his family. Believe it or not they sat down as a family and decided he would go pro after his JR season no matter what, which was crazy to me considering the season he had. At that time he was very unhappy because he felt he wasn't targeted enough his sophomore year, he also felt Coley and Kaaya over looked him a lot. His family's financial situation is not the best so that plays a big part as well. I haven't spoke with the family member in a minute so I don't know if this is still the case, but don't be surprised if he leaves.
