Ronnie Coleman thinks those records are all LIGHTWEIGHT!

YEAH BUDDY!!!!!!!

Awesome at bodybuilding; never saw him play a snap of football.

I had a RB speed-only client bragging about his TBDL being +500# which yeah great whatever at 195# that's great in HS.

But his acceleration? top-end? yards per carry? Games missed due to soft tissue injury? All no bueno. Can't miss more games played than TD's scored

I tried to explain to him that if it takes you 8 seconds to pick that up the play is long over and the opponent is back in the huddle.
You'd be amazed at the people who think what S&C looks like in soccer vs what it actually means.

You look like a doofus in public gyms. You work ankle stiffness and do leg exercises single-legged within explosive cluster sets. It's gotten me a few confused looks in the past month.

There's athletic training and there's power lifting and bodybuilding. And the differences could not be further apart.

A professional strength coach I knew used to tell me that at a certain point, he didn't want his athletes pushing any more weight because he found it secondary to moving weight quickly, which was what he wanted his athletes doing. So, grinding through a big squat at a steady rate was not transferable to a football field like moving a little less weight really quickly and explosively.
