McCoy supplanted Washington in one practice; lmao! Now let’s see if he can hold off Mauigoa.

It’s still early to me, but they’ll continue to mix and match on the tackle side. Hopefully they let that beefy interior remain as is.

The issue will be his top-end speed. I don’t think he’s very fast and will have issues recovering when beat.

Bobby is my darkhorse candidate for the defensive class. IMHO, he's going to be a great one. Old school Cane through and through.

Mario owes us wins. Not media access. Our media is terrible. Increasing access won’t change that and fans will criticize or overanalyze anyway.

I don’t need to get to know Richard Dawson or Ron Guidry, I need wins.

We all enjoyed Steele’s stories, we didn’t enjoy getting ransacked on the field.

The kid has had underrated potential. IIRC Lance had him quite high in his recruiting rankings from that class just felt like it would take some time

I thought for the position he was thrown into against Pitt last year he played pretty well. I remember him getting beat badly and everyone losing their ****, but it was like our 3rd or 4th LT of the season in a game where we had to just throw the ball at will (which we can’t) going up against one of the best coached DLs in the country

If you have the stomach to rewatch the end of that game when McCoy was in, he actually had a lot of good plays and I think he was still a year away from being really ready especially with how our OL looked at the time

He won’t start I don’t think but lord knows we need the depth

We need him to be good enough to start. I don't want to kick Rivers out or have to start the freshmen. If Samson or Maui WIN the starting spot from another starting-caliber OT, then absolutely. But it can't be gifted. Counting on McCoy and the other returning OTs to elevate the competition significantly. We've been woeful at OT for far too long.

They’re working him back slowly. Tbh people should use my approach with him, he’s found money if he plays this year. If he’s back to himself and playing…..great. Regardless I’ll be keeping my expectations low.

Facts. I was one of the guys on here saying that by rushing him we were going to end up getting him injured. He wasn't built like the freshmen we have coming in now. Kid was 220 as a HS junior playing with an additional 70 pounds 18-24 months later against UF. Dumbest **** ever.

Maui and Pancake are different beasts. I still don't want them to start, want them to have to battle for snaps against hopefully real compeittion among the upperclassmen. But those kids know how to carry their weight already.

The coaches love him. He would have played last year if not for injury. Don't be surprised if he cross-trains as backup C.

I just think Cooper would have to come out and look like the 2nd coming of Vernon Carey at OG to get Mario/Mirabel to not have Rivers-Lee-Cohen in the middle of that OL. That is ACC title caliber right there. You cant ask for better than that. Now of course, this depends on Zion being ready to go at OT.

The Don has to step up this Spring. We need him to have a STRONG Spring camp for us. We need to go into the Summer with complete confidence that he can be the workhouse while Parrish is his sidekick. Either way, was definitely good to see him running with the 1s.

As a True Freshman off the bus (literally), Cooper was the only one completing what we used to call “Metros” back in the day.

Essentially he was the only one slapping people around in there and moving them last season.

Unless Rivers and gang can prove to that as consistently as he does; then you won’t get him off the field.

If his pass blocking doesn’t improve…insert Rivers and get him a redshirt.

Addae will be here until he moves on to bigger and better things...and two years from that everyone on here will be talking about his successes
