Spring Spring PractiSe 13: Tuesday April 8

I know people love to criticize Dawson's playcalling in the Iowa State game when Emory came in, but remember Iowa State was AWFUL against the run last season, and really good against the pass.

Ranked #109 vs. the run
Ranked #1 vs. the pass

If you knew this, and you were the OC, what would you call mostly with a QB that hadn't played but in one game all season with backup WR's that hadn't played much either.

I've recently rewatched the bowl game. I don't disagree about running the ball. They basically ran the ball on every play of the 3rd Q. I believe that was probably the plan, knowing what the defense was all season. Emory wasn't playing with all the backups - the issue was he couldn't manage a passing game when the down/distance called for it. He wasn't asked to throw the ball downfield - but he couldn't manage a simple pass. I've always thought the staff believed Cam would exit at halftime with a much bigger lead than actually happened. They were probably praying the run game would continue to keep them in the game. Nothing about the way Dawson called the game for Emory said he had confidence in him and he was asking the bare minimum.

I think we all feel the same way; he's a great kid, a well liked , locker room leader. He's not a QB you want to have to depend on to win you a big game.

I am not counting on B. Washington playing this season. We shall see.
If the staff thinks this is truly a playoff team, I do, let's see their portal moves. My portal moves, a starting WR, LB, S and K. I bring in about 6 more for the 2 deep atleast, but a few of starting caliber. I won't even mention these positions as it will get people in their feelings about young players. That's a lot. Beck staying healthy is key. Let's make a run.

Went to my first Miami game in 1975, so no I'm not new and I'm not saying they should broadcast every practice on TV, but allowing some limited access isn't equal to giving away nuclear secrets, it's football for goodness sakes.

See you're old school! U clearly aren't about the GenX elite level troll people that smile in your face and are literally the Ops.

We got ND Game 1......I aint trusting no one including our media who write like they hate us.

My Uncle always told me, dont trust no one but yo mama then cut the deck....

I hope ranking High Fidelity is also a reference to him ranking everything in the movie

Don't think we should go for a starting level safety. Would cost too much and we've already spent so much on DB. Lucas/Damari or something can go to Safety imo along with Patterson and Hopefully Day stepping up. Or even Ewald too. We do need a Safety, but a depth guy that could come in for injury imo.

Yeah starting WR, NT, LB ... And depth S, RB. If go for a kicker as well ...

John Cusack’s best 3 films come at me bro….
No on the first two.

The Sure Thing is massively underrated. One of my all time fav bar scenes.
With others, Say Antyhing is great. "If you guys know so much about women, how come you're hanging out at a Gas N' Sip on a Friday night with no women in sight?"

No decade will ever touch the 80s for coming of age films.

It’s a shame Bobby is hurt. He could have used the spring to make a cause for himself.
It would have done nothing but help absolutely. But there's also a reason that we fought to keep him here. People might assume he didn't leave because he got hurt. That's not accurate he decided to stay before he got hurt. Bobby has some people in the locker room that are really intrigues by his skill set. And if as a fan y'all aren't intrigued as well I'm not sure physically what anybody could be looking for out of a linebacker. The emphasis here is the word physically speaking.

IIRC it was reported he got hurt literally the day after he decided to come back. Terrible luck

Has any musician ever had a consecutive trio of albums as good as The Man Who Sold The World, Hunky Dory, and The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars?
Dark Side of The Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, and too add one more, The Wall.
