That bolded part tho.....I was front row behind the team at the BC game. Gore was tiny. If Cook is same size and body type he better have other elite traits that compensate otherwise he will be a JAG like Gore and we should just play the young guys.
Nah, man. This is the time of year to get our hopes up. Embrace the daily serotonin hits because when the season starts, its the opposite. (Hopefully I'm wrong about the pattern this year. Pretty please.)IM IN “SHOW ME MODE” PLEASE LOCK THESE THREADS
Excuse me sir, no negativity or criticism allowed during the Spring. I’ll have to escort you off the premises in the midst of the most kool aid this program has bathed in since…last year. Mario allowed him to commit at the height of the Jeremiah Smith debacle, there’s no way he’s underwhelming. He also dominated a Saint Cristobal and Mirabal OL; nevertheless, if you want bigger bodies on the line-I couldn’t tell the difference between 57 (Cook) and Gore (59) in inside run drills.
Why those guys are here - and why they continue to bring in the same player types who show they’re not competitive here - is mind numbing.
It’s practice. Everyone gets reps. Effective coaches know how to make sure that the “dawgs” get more reps. The “dawgs” gon eat.
When the young guys are rated 5 stars and look like they're 30 years old, they should aboslutely play ahead of the small army of 6th year senior JAGaloons that we can't help ourselves from signing every 10 minutes.Just play the young guys is cute, unfortunately we are supposed to be in win now mode.
Vehemently underwhelmed?

This is the staple Stare Down the Receiver drill. Coaches are evaluating a couple of things here: 1) How many times can you jiggle your feet after you break off your route and stand there for three seconds, and 2) Can the QB recite the alma mater without losing eye contact with the primary route runner. In the next phase of the drill, they bring a DB from 30 yards out to attempt the pick. I'm not an x's and o's guy, but I picked this up over the last 2 seasons. Seems pretty effective.WTF is this drill for seriously?? Zuck help me out lol.
Thanks! I played from 6 to college and had never seen it before. It seems as productive as running routes half speed with your QB warming up. But I haven’t played in almost 20 years. It's called Settle and Noose. It just a warm up drill. Getting arms loose with a purpose. Hitting shoulders and at the same time the WR's work on catching and getting upfield.
we are playing there this year? now known as Chase Field/StadiumI’ve only seen him once this spring.
