Naturally, being the inquisitive 'Canes fan that I am, I goaded him about the recent goings on and about what the plan was moving forward. He told me that one of the biggest motivating factors behind the midseason firing was the fan outcry. Obviously, he mentioned the banners, but he actually told me that emails directly to board members were the most effective means of communicating fan dissatisfaction. He actually mentioned Stuart Miller by name. Using his word, he said that Stuart Miller was "overwhelmed" by the amount of email he got about firing Golden and that it played a factor in his decision.

Anyway, just passing it along. Food for thought as we all debate who the next head coach should (or shouldn't) be....

Do you really think the BOT is considering retaining anyone on the coaching staff. Dude, new HC are a new broom who sweeps clean. The new HC will decide whether to keep anyone on the staff, not the BOT.

Yes, I know what went down when Jimmy was hired. It will never happen again.

Email sent! Told him Butch will ignite this fan base more then he can imagine while being the most resonably priced hire! Lets go canes baby!

My two cents: if you overwhelm Bruce Berkowitz's email, he's more likely to do the opposite of whatever he perceives is wanted by anyone interrupting his numbers life.

Exactly. We look like a joke flying banners for people who don't work here. All they'd have to do is say they'd never want to and we look like the fat guy saying he turned down a supermodel.

Very respectful and appreciative of the tough decision to dismiss Al Golden
 
Emails for Butch sent to all and added Frenk and James. Have already sent Frenk and James emails for Butch everyday since Monday and will not stop, now all of BOT will keep getting them daily as well.
 
The fans at the game that were chanting "Fire Golden" and were leaving in droves mid way through the game had more impact on Golden's firing than all banner flown combined.

The media's attention of the banners added a lot of straw to the camel's back, coupled that with ex-players using social media to voice their displeasure with Golden was hard to ignore for Blake. Having the worst loss in the school's history just sped things up..

They didn't listen to the fans in the last 3 hires. Listen now. Give us Butch. He will cost you so much less than candidates of his quality and he will reinvigorate the fan base, bring in the recruits, and make us feel alive again. It's a no brainer.

If perchance, Butch fails (no ******* way possible), than the BOT/Etc, can make their choice (which I remind has sucked in the last 3 hires).

We are at a tipping point. Give the fans what they want.
