They had 7 and we had 0. Both offenses were unproductive toilets. Our defense quit. There’s kept playing with incredible effort.

For one game. But their offense wasn't a stopped up toilet for most of the season like ours.

Two of Rumph's biggest critics on here is me & @gogeta4

It's a myth that "all the black south Florida folks stand up for Rumph", that's simply not true, Rumph's biggest defenders on here are White lol.

Most of the locals who know & understand the recruiting scene in South Fla have wanted him gone for years now.

The ones who defend him only do so because they can't detach their love for him from when he was a player on those 00-01 Canes teams, it really has nothing to do with race.
Didn’t you say Rumph was the best coach on the staff and it wasn’t even close??

Who would you like to see as his replacement?

Never said that, fella. But a 12th ranked defense despite this putrid offense speaks for itself. It's good enough to win you most games with a decent offense. That's all I'm saying.
Same **** they said about the offense being good enough to win when Folden was here.

Just because the defense was better than the offense doesn’t mean it’s a winning defense. This defense always plays just well enough to lose.

How the **** are Manny's buddies not fired yet? If Banda, Patke, and Baker survives, it prove he's not serious.

If you can’t get a better CB coach to develop player there’s no reason to fire him...What Rumph lacks in recruiting he sure makes up for it in coaching/developing our CB’s. Be careful what you ask for canes fam.

Wait a minute!!! You’re saying the only read Corn Elder and Mike Jackson got a chance in the league is because of Rumph??
Corn would’ve made it regardless but he improved a lot under Rumph. Mike Jack was terrible for 2 years before Rumph coached him up. Same with Colbert, he had elite athletic traits but skill wise he was a D2 player. Rumph is the reason he’s in the nfl

Manny knows defense, I will give him that. Established HCs like Mack Brown, Dan Mullen, and Richt thought so. Whether he will be a good HC remains to be seen, but he's not a stupid guy. As long as he is involved with the defense they will be good. Just needs to be paired with a good offense to start seeing results.
Brown thought so much of him that he Drop Kicked Desi back to Film Editing after giving up 1,500yds in a game as DC at Texas...He followed that up with the Proverbial "I think Highly of Him" *** beating this yr....

We do ,Epi.

Over time it makes you question it, but we have the talent to reach base level goals.

There is a lot of rah rah bullshyt on here about pride, laziness, and softness.

Fans think we can waltz out and beat the FIU’s and Louisiana Techs with talent and try hard.

EVERYBODY is better than that now.

When a team has a fake leader who falls to pieces internally during adversity, they will lose ALL REAL CONFIDENCE in him and themselves. They will play weak, slow, and stupid.

Football is EMOTIONAL and the first step is to be ready to play mentally and spiritually. This starts in the offseason with the presence that the head coach brings.

Manny looks like a lost little boy when adversity strikes. The players have seen it since the offseason and it kills confidence and momentum.

They like him so they blame themselves for his shortcomings, like most children do when their parents are overwhelmed and failing in managing the family.

Look what Manny did with Golden and NoD’s players. The same turn around is waiting for the offense with a solid hire at OC who FITS.

We were laughing like **** at the gators when they won 4 games.

Look at them now. Was talent the problem?

What about Dan Mullen?

Except Golden never got rid of Dorito. Who knows what could have been if he had brought in Manny to be DC instead? Let's see what happens because Enos is gone now. Manny has a chance now to bring in an aggressive OC. That could change the equation.

What other position group has been questioned more than his at the start each season since he been here, but yet we get good production out of them year in year out. And keep in mind year after year we not getting the so called top recruits at his position that y’all want.

I will wait for you to point out a better teacher on the staff on either side of the ball since he been here?

It only take a few posts to tell who really knows football and who just talking fan talk like fantasy football.

shocking that a black south florida guy has an overinflated view of Mike Rumph. im just so stunned...

Diaz already had a chance and he brought us enos and the worst staff in history. And you want to give him another chance to pick?

So it’s being reported that as of now. The entire defensive staff will be retained.
