Now imagine that top 25 offense supported by a defensive staff that can recruit, manage the numbers and develop the players.

I don’t think anyone on this staff can get us back to contention.

Maybe Patke and Banda will be great one day but they are not ready and only know Manny’s way. We need “seasoned” guys. Everyone on this staff needs to be upgraded in a major way before we can be elite again.

Manny knows defense, I will give him that. Established HCs like Mack Brown, Dan Mullen, and Richt thought so. Whether he will be a good HC remains to be seen, but he's not a stupid guy. As long as he is involved with the defense they will be good. Just needs to be paired with a good offense to start seeing results.

First of all he went to FSU. He is a stupid guy. Stop regurgitating some bull**** line the BOT fed you about how “bright” Manny is.

Secondly, Randy Shannon knew defense at a much higher level than Spanish Taggert and what did that get him?

Rumph was on the block last year, apparently, but just scraped through.

I don't think he does a bad job, but it's an easy fire for Diaz as Rumph isn't his boy.

You can hide a great recruiter and subpar coach at some other positions but this ain’t the one.

honestly for me it more why the **** is Rumph going to get fired over Banda, when they have both been *** at recruiting, but at least Rumph has coached better. The only reason Rumph is going to be fired and not Banda, Patke, and Baker is because they are Diaz's friends. This is the same **** Al Golden did.
