Sources: Rumph not expected to be retained on staff

Until Miami gets a new ad Miami would always be a mediocre football team ,it starts at the top and this probably won't happen so Miami will never be relevant again.

Its a fine balance between recruiting and coaching. Everyone is in agreement that Rumph needs help with recruiting but CB is not a position where you can just out athlete the opposition. coaching technique is critical at this position and Rumph is exceptional at that. Unless we bringing in someone who can teach just as well plus recruit the change is silly.

You can hide a great recruiter and subpar coach at some other positions but this ain’t the one.
We need to know the name and resume of the replacement for this to make any sense.

This is true(but it is not all. There are a big group of So Fla guys that only support him because of that though), but you have the same thing going on with Manny.

Stubb's sucks, idk what you're talking about. He also is a completely trash recruiter. And look what he did to Brian Hightower, or are we going to get another bs excuse that he was the problem, even though we know that it was Stubb's why he left... Talk about things being his own worst enemy but he was pretty ******* good last year. Literally the only player Stubb's made better was Harley, and that's because Enos force fed him the ball.

Secondly why the **** do we need 3 coaches on this staff all for the same position? Patke has OLB and Striker and can't recruit for ****. Baker has ILB and DC, and Diaz does what? That's 3 ******* LB coaches, and the position group as a whole sucked and had no ******* depth. When pinckney went down who did Patke have ready to play? Your probably going to say it's all good cause you were a walk-in, but it isn't.

If Diaz wants to keep his butt buddies (Banda and Patke) on defense so bad he needs to fire Baker, take over defensive play calling duties, and make Patke full LB/Striker coach. Why is Baker on this staff if all he is coaching is ilb and is essentially a knockoff Diaz?

Two of Rumph's biggest critics on here is me & @gogeta4

It's a myth that "all the black south Florida folks stand up for Rumph", that's simply not true, Rumph's biggest defenders on here are White lol.

Most of the locals who know & understand the recruiting scene in South Fla have wanted him gone for years now.

The ones who defend him only do so because they can't detach their love for him from when he was a player on those 00-01 Canes teams, it really has nothing to do with race.

At Recruiting yeah. But as a teacher and technician he good. Just saying your logic for wanting the exact opposite to coach CB is just silly and will get us no where. CB coach has to be a good teacher 1st and foremost period. If you argue against that then I don't know what to tell you; your football knowledge might not be as strong as you think?

If we were winning his recruiting deficiency would be helped by the outlook of the program, don't think for one second that some of everyone's favorite CB coaches aren't benefitted in recruiting by being at programs who are winning.

Who cares anybody can **** near learn how to teach. But being a good people person u can't teach man. When I first heard him interview my NJNY radar knew he would have trouble relating to these kids even if he played at UM. That **** doesn't mean anything tbh
