Why tf is he safe ?Fields isn’t going anywhere unless he chooses to leave. He’s one of the few safe guys on o staff.

Bro look at every inept hc in cfb history that hired a new coordinator to save face. ******* didn’t do **** for slick Willie in Tallahassee. You talked to how many people?
Not going to comment on individual coaches (not point I am making), but since you refer to "global" issues...
defense was #12 in total defense despite a horrible offense. You can't expect a defense to hold up when the offense is turning it over on downs (last in 3rd down efficiency), giving up turnovers, and giving up field position on sacks (#127 in country). If our offense was better our defense would improve also. Some on the board also seem to suffer from myopia.
Imagine a top 25 offense to go along with what we have now on defense? I doubt we'd be complaining too much.
Every team we lost to this season except for florida has a 4 year recruiting haul that doesn't sniff ours. All of those good recruits on the roster haven't done us much. Developing talent is way more important. We need to change our recruiting approach but he's developed more guys than any coach on our staff hasJust bc someone is decent doesn’t mean they are invincible.
Rumph had 4 years to show something. He showed he can coach a little bit. But he was a disaster in establishing a board, evaluating talent, and recruiting.
Recruiting is the life blood of a program and he couldn’t hack it.
Keep stubblefield and the rb coach, I'm not really a fan of Baker but the rest of the defense I'm fine with. Patke has done a very good job with the strikers/OLBs, not sold on him as a special teams coordinator yet but that's hard to bring in a dedicated guy just for that and most of our units are better this year besides field goalsIf i can ask, who would you keep and who would you fire?
You are arguing for the sake of arguing.
Through the season, I have said that the defense needed to replace a lot of key players from Jackson to Dean to Johnson and Redwine, to Joe Jackson, Willis, etc. In spite of that, the defense did pretty well.
McCloud redshirting for the future and his prospects is my guess.
Rumph parting ways isn’t a surprise or a disappointment. I think expecting Manny to replace the whole defense AND the OC is unrealistic as I originally stated.
That said, if Manny took over the defense, I could see him looking to make other changes on that side of the ball.

Agreed. Rumps could coach but without solid to great recruiters on both sides of the ball we continually flailed trying to get kids even out of our own backyard. Rumor will land a HC gig at some Broward or Dade County HS. Next up should be Baker, Banda, and Patke. If you’re going to try and save your ****, might as well clean shipthis is the only firing one that will hurt. I really wanted it to work out for Mike. He’s got a lot to learn about recruiting but he’s a great teacher.
As others have said he better not be the only defensive coach to go. Manny needs to cut bait with some buddies as well who haven’t pulled their weight either.
How in the Fck is Banda & Patke safe

How many points did a BAD fiu team score?
Not sure how many, the one that I can actually think of was 100% on DJ Ivy. Honestly don't care if he loses the ST Coordinator position or not but he's good as a position coachHow many fake punts did teams successfully run on us this year?
That took some guts because he’s an alumni and a really good coach ....but Manny knows he’s their worst recruiter....I’m interested too see who he hires....He think he knows he’s needs a few elite recruiters on staff like a TROB or Snieder.I been Telling these azzholes here that Campbell and Surtain fuq ups he should of gotten fired then
House CANNOT be clean with the main source of dirt is still in the house.About time. Clean house
Offense was also a problem. Took the offense 3 qts to score 3 points. Had 3 turnovers. At some point the defense is like wtf?
Very good recruiter. Wiggins and Harley really improved as time went on. KJ was solid, Thomas was his own worst enemy. Most of our passing schemes were trash. As far as day to day and playing time, since I'm on the outside I don't know how much say he had vs Enos controlling that. I think if we had a competent OC then the WRs would've looked much betterThx. Everyone seems to hate Stubblefield and frankly i saw little to no improvement with our WR's this year. What do you know/like about him that we dont? (I know this is your position so i obv respect your opinion here)
My point is that yes firing Rumph is fine (I'm on board) BUT he better not be the only defensive coach shown the door. If thats the case then its favoritism plain and simple. Other position coach on defense deserve it just as much as Rumph.
