And his brother John just politely said heck no to Michigan as well.

Is apparently losing the locker room according to "unnamed sources." We all know that could mean absolutely nothing, but his contract hasn't been extended.

Harbaugh is the type of dude who would absolutely kill it at UM. Is it out of the question to believe he would return to the college game if fired? He did great at Stanford and took the 49ers to the Superbowl.

He would destroy with the South FL athletes and our defense would be nasty.

We also would probably run up the score continuously because Harbaugh is that type of prick which we need. The days of Golden scared to offend opposing coaches would be over quickly.

A man could dream right???

In the unlikely scenario he leaves San Francisco, another NFL team will pick him up in a heartbeat. He's not coming to Coral Gables.

It's unrealistic, which sucks because his coaching style is perfect for UM. He's bloodthirsty. That guy has no interest in anything other than winning and most important, he likes to embarrass the opponent. I remember him trolling USC by claiming that their 2007 defense was "the best of all time"--then he beat them at the Coliseum. Also challenged a play late in the 4th quarter when he was up like 68-24 on Wake Forest so he could try to get 70. Meanwhile, we've got a guy who doesn't even call timeouts so he can score before the half. And, Harbaugh would be like the old UM coaches who didn't want to be lifers here. He'd come, win 2 championships, and leave. It would be perfect. Sucks it'll never happen.

Good post. Agree with everything. But how about hitting the "enter" key once in awhile.

We already HAVE a coach. Alfred Golden.

If you guys can't see the momentum we are building in Coral Gables, you're color blind.

Yeah we have a coach....for now. If Al keeps steamrolling through these intercoastal acc matchups though, the nfl is gonna come calling.

If he's let go, he'll be at Michigan next fall.

He will be offered a ton of NFL gigs. He is one of the best coaches in the league. Also, don't assume the niners won't resign him. They will be letting one of the best coaches in the league who fixed the team in his first season go...sounds pretty stupid.

Pete Carroll went to USC after coaching in the NFL, and after a lot of success at USC he's back in the NFL.. Butch Davis went back to coaching college after a stint in the NFL.. John Robinson coached the Rams from 83-91, and then went back to coach USC...

NFL coaches (that are good) don't go back to college. College sucks because you have to deal with boosters, recruiting, and your assistants leaving almost every year.

If he gets fired the Dolphins would be a likely spot. The owner Stephen Ross loves Harbaugh (tried to hire him twice). Both are Michigan alums also. He will pay a lot for Harbaugh.

The distinction with those you mentioned is that they did not have NFL offers after getting fired so they had to return to college or take an assistant position. Harbaugh, by contrast, will have plenty of NFL offers.

He qualified his statement about NFL coaches with "that are good." Pete Carroll had limited success with the Pats in his first NFL stint, Botch failed in Cleveland and John Robinson had a winning percentage of .524.

He obviously didn't read my post correctly. Read what I put in parentheses in the FIRST sentence and apply that to yours.....

I just saw Bill Cowher at a Winn Dixie in Pompano. Says he'd LOVE to be our next coach.
