Sony Michel question

SMH. Did you guys ever consider the fact that there's 10 other guys on the offense who have something to do with the success of a Running Back?

You're probably not gonna see great stats from Sony this year BECAUSE HERITAGE CAN'T THROW THE BALL. People are gonna load the box against Heritage and they're gonna get multiple hats to the football. He can't break 5 tackles every carry and be off to the races. This isn't a video game.

******* guy simply asked a question you nutbag

Read the thread, you stupid fvck. I apologized and told him I wasn't responding to him.

Dumb *** *****. SMH

You do realize you don't have to censor your curse words, right?

You're a real class act bubba, a real class act.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Heritage is playing better competition these days as well. That was always my concern with Michel for years. Really didn't seem like Heritage played anybody.

They've def taken a step up in comp this year.

Oh he mad. He helps mold young children?

Magic Chef Michel is one of those guys who peaked early physically. We've all seen it. The 6 foot tall 10 year who dominates Little League baseball but never grows another inch or gets any better. Grundig Michel peaked out as a sophomore.

So now you have "concerns" about him after going off on people who also have concerns? Do you think that any great HS RB hasn't been the main focus of the opponent's D over the years? Not too many HS have a phenom RB and a great QB and great WRs to take the heat off the great RB. The truly great HS RBs make their own plays despite teams keying on them.

Plus he has a huge oline....I don't know. He's down to about 5yds a carry. I'd be shocked if there was a 4-5 star back anywhere in the country averaging less.

Yes, hence the question and why I asked if defenses were simply playing him well...more reading comprehension, less sanctimony. Thanks.

I'll ask for you to take your own advice and exhibit more comprehension

To do that...all you have to do is look at who responded to your post.

Drrrrr.

Hey Wildcat, that hybrid 3-4 defense "Dorito" is running looks pretty good with South FL talent. LOL!

:ibisroflmao:

Marcus Dupree and countless others nod approvingly.

I've BEEN concerned about his level of competition going all the way back to the Grassy days. SMH

Sony has made his own plays despite being keyed on. His stats have fallen a little bit because A) Their QB is terrible...and B) He's playing better competition.

Every RB need some help. This isn't a video game. No RB, against good competition, is gonna do it all by himself.

Do you think Kevin Grooms wasn't a great HS RB because he didn't do anything against Western or St. Thomas? (meanwhile he's balling in college)

Cat, you act like the dude is playing for Gulliver and going up against Booger T. every week. He's got players around him including a WR who is more impactful than he is. The competition has caught up to him.

And to answer your previous question, Grooms is a good RB, but he's no 5 star. We're talking about the elite of the elite here, and those super elite 5 star RBs get their yards and make their plays. They don't need excuses about no one around them helping them or playing better competition.

Sony is fine, he will be a beast at UGA. More times than not he appears to be getting hit by 2-3 guys as soon as he's getting the ball. When he gets a seam you see the type of explosiveness that made him so highly coveted. I don't know about this peaked physically nonsense, the dude is a man and he's basically been doing it all on his own hardwork, he hasn't even touched a good S&C program yet. He is what 210 right now? After a year at UGA he'll be 225 with elite speed. Unfortunate, because I ******* hate UGA.

The one game i watched him he looked plenty explosive. He made Cypress Bays defense look silly and out-ran their DB's while cramping.

you guys might be right, sony is probably the first 5 star, top 15 prospect rb to be the focus of the opposing defense.

Yea I remember that play, the guy pulled away from their DB's easily while cramping. And those guys are getting pretty decent D-1 offers so its not as if they were scrubs. I get people hate on him for spurning Miami, but that shouldn't make you lose common sense. The kid is good.

Smh that's not true. People act like Sony is running like he did in the CB game (after he got ****ed about being slammed after the whistle mind you) every game and he's not. Anyone that saw him run prior to his Soph saw him get lots of yards after contact. His JR he didn't even try to get yards after contact and the knock all year was that he was soft so he was supposed to comeback refocused and dedicated and determined to prove the doubters wrong. After a somewhat dominant game against CB (who is garbage this year I might add) he's not doing anything to change peoples minds.

As far as the S&C comment smh. If you don't think he's touched a good S&C program yet for a HS player, then just imagine what the kids he's playing against are dealing with. Of course he'll get bigger and slightly faster in a college S&C, but so will the same kids that are already stopping him and a lot of them will see bigger gains than he will.

Kid is talented no one can argue that, but he's not this transcendent talent people were making him out to be (I remember getting into with a guy on here earlier this year claiming he was already better than Duke smh). The guy hasn't won a playoff game yet and while some could argue the GC teams he played in 09-10 were better than AH, there is/was no excuse to lose to Jackson last year. He was a complete non factor in his teams most important game. This is HS an elite player can win a game by himself early in the playoffs. Elite football players require more than **** forty times and weight room numbers. At this point he's living off measurables and the hype from that fake eight grade year where he lead the county in rushing that made him a national name.
