What stable ?
Duke johnson and... Oh yeah

Yeah hopefully Gus and Elder are the real deal. Not sure I ever remember a kid picking us over FSU on signing day and getting less attention than Gus Edwards. FSU legitimately wanted and thought they had him, but we got him anyway. Kid looks like a horse, and not a FB like some have alluded to.

We have Duke as primary RB) for 2 more years. We will have Yearby for 3. Plus we have Crawford, Dillard, Edwards, Elder, Hagans, and I'm prolly missing a couple.
We get Yearby's LOI, and we're good at RB.
Not saying I wouldn't love to have Sony too bc holy sht at that backfield.
But we're landing the top OL class and have the #4 RB in country already committed (I think Duke was #5? - - - to put Yearby's commitment in some perspective)
If we don't get 2 or 3 top DTs, then that is something to be very worried about.
Duke is better than Yearby, that is all. Nothing to take away from Yearby because he is a stud and any team would be lucky to have him. Our problem is that we whiffed on Collins last year, if we had Collins in the fold then this whole Cook and Sony fiasco aint ****. The fact is that we did not and we need two studs this year. There is still time and there are very good RBs in other parts of the country, but people freak out because we have 3 elite talents in our own backyard and we look like we will only get 1 when we need 2. Also regarding this stable you are talking, I would put money down that if FSU's stable looked the way ours did after Duke you would be clowning them. Crawford and Dillard have proven thus far to be nothing but fillers, Hagans is an FB that is it. Elder is a scat back at best, probably better suited for the slot(should be a stud there though) and Edwards seems like an a very good FB that we will try and turn into a RB, hopefully for our sakes it works.

All great points. How much difference do you think our OL will make in the run game? BC we have and are recruiting a damned good OLine too

And will Clements be back this fall from his injury?

I'll be honest, I don't even think it's all boosters now. I think it's rich people who just love football handing out money, cars, girl friends houses ect. I have heard many stories living here in Bama part time. I have seen many pics of kids with expensive cars, no jobs, 10k worth of wheels, ect. No these are not spoiled rich kids either. Seems like the NCAA just doesn't care about that. Some kids can be bought off, later many will probably regret it, I know I would. No way I would skip on my friends and dream dream school.

I'll try and not even post tonight, but I hope the truth comes out sooner than later.

Outside of breaking NCAA laws and finding a booster to pay kids (the end of us) there is NOTHING Golden can do here. Kid's family is up for getting paid. All we can do is do what we've been doing, and what we did yesterday. Just keep grinding and hope the family wakes up and does what's right.

Sony is a HUGE UM FAN and is caught in the middle of this somewhat.

PLEASE, I beg you, go easy on him. Its going to be a fight to the finish. Lets all not act like asses and make him think he made the right decision. Lets show him how great the fans are here, and keep reminding him that this is where he needs to be. Maybe he can work him family. STAY POSITIVE. DO NO HARM.

Here is the thing with our OL, we seem to have elite talent there but we are yet to put it all together and show that we in fact have an elite group. It has been mentioned before but our line seems to excel in pass protection but look very average in the running game. Hopefully that changes, you certainly cant knock our recruiting there the last few years, I think that has been one area where we have legitimately been top 5 in, mostly because of our class this year. The line should make our guys look decent but dont kid yourself, you still need very good RBs, and when you have a bunch in your area and go 1 for 4 on the elite ones in your backyard, its a problem. People like to bring up Bama, and their great OL but they seems to forget that they did not just have average guys at RB. Sure you can point that Ingram is a bust in the league but he was very good and rated highly out of HS. Then they had TR and Yeldon who are bona fide studs. Bottom line is you need both if you wanna play for that Crystal Trophy and last time I checked we are Miami and that is where we aim to get back to, the top, not to being a 9 win team(because that is what a great OL with average RBs will probably get you).

Did anybody here actually attend Miami back in 2000?

Not gonna care for a second if he doesn't come to Miami. We already have a stud RB in school now for at least 2 more years and we have a stud commit in Yearby and then in 2015 I am sure we will have another stud rb coming in. Miami will never have a problem at RB.

Yet we have a problem at RB.....

Not sure if trolling or not? But hurricane glory said SOny is more comfortable at UGA. His family is not involved In the decision process.

From what I understands that's absolutely not true. Family is driving this. It's $$$. There is a handler down here arranging it all too. I really think this might be the straw that breaks the camels back and this might all come out.

Will his announcement be live on ESPNU. If so, is anyone going to watch it?

Bomb - I don't know if money is involved or not, but wouldn't be surprised either way. BUT, lets just say it is involved, what makes you think it will come out here? If it were Miami paying I have no doubt but if it's UGA - it will be "nothing to see here" from the NCAA, IMO.

Do we really know he's getting paid? I find it hard to believe that it's common knowledge.

lol ummm ok.

funny how nobody ever claims these players are getting paid when they go to miami. artie burns was committed to bama and was by far the top secondary player on the board. saban wanted him badly, yet he flipped to miami. so did miami outbid bama? y'all claim these teams are throwing money around then wouldn't they have thrown money at the best secondary player on their board? or is burns just some wholesome kid who turned the money to play at miami for free? you dudes are pathetic.

I don't know what's worse: Sony not coming to the U for ******* UGA, that I'm STILL not prepared for this to be official, or the fact I was actually subjected to that horrible ******* "2Stackz" rap song he had on his highlight because I thought I was watching a future Cane :ohlord:

Everything points to Georgia...Sony is the truth, my bold prediction-Sony wins the heisman in 2016. I saw him play live a few times, he is that good. Really hope somehow we can flip him.
