Everything points to Georgia...Sony is the truth, my bold prediction-Sony wins the heisman in 2016. I saw him play live a few times, he is that good. Really hope somehow we can flip him.

Nah, joe will win it

Outside of breaking NCAA laws and finding a booster to pay kids (the end of us) there is NOTHING Golden can do here. Kid's family is up for getting paid. All we can do is do what we've been doing, and what we did yesterday. Just keep grinding and hope the family wakes up and does what's right.

Sony is a HUGE UM FAN and is caught in the middle of this somewhat.

PLEASE, I beg you, go easy on him. Its going to be a fight to the finish. Lets all not act like asses and make him think he made the right decision. Lets show him how great the fans are here, and keep reminding him that this is where he needs to be. Maybe he can work him family. STAY POSITIVE. DO NO HARM.

Not sure if trolling or not? But hurricane glory said SOny is more comfortable at UGA. His family is not involved In the decision process.

From what I understands that's absolutely not true. Family is driving this. It's $$$. There is a handler down here arranging it all too. I really think this might be the straw that breaks the camels back and this might all come out.

lol ummm ok.

funny how nobody ever claims these players are getting paid when they go to miami. artie burns was committed to bama and was by far the top secondary player on the board. saban wanted him badly, yet he flipped to miami. so did miami outbid bama? y'all claim these teams are throwing money around then wouldn't they have thrown money at the best secondary player on their board? or is burns just some wholesome kid who turned the money to play at miami for free? you dudes are pathetic.

No one said Miami is innocent we have been guilty of it too. Some recruits were pushed here like Coley..

Not gonna care for a second if he doesn't come to Miami. We already have a stud RB in school now for at least 2 more years and we have a stud commit in Yearby and then in 2015 I am sure we will have another stud rb coming in. Miami will never have a problem at RB.

+1

I don't know why people are discounting Edwards and Elder from last class either. I think they're going to compliment each other very nicely.

does anyone think his recruiting process actually stops today? Also, people act like Yearby is a scrub. In uga defense, they have great facility, however, they have been a preseason top5-10 every year and choke for the last 20 yrs. they don't win anything.

“If Sony goes to Miami and you pair him with Duke Johnson and Joseph Yearby it could be the most incredible backfield in that school’s history,” Miami Herald recruiting writer Larry Blustein said. “In 2001 they had Clinton Portis, Willis McGahee and Frank Gore and that might be the best backfield ever. But this trio would have the chance to equal or pass them.”

I don't know who is getting paid or who isn't (c'mon we know some kids out there are getting paid - don't think you'll argue that)... and I see your point. But I'm not sure thats a great example... Artie is from Miami. If Artie was recruited for 4 years, was from Tuscaloosa, was their TOP DB, a position of need, close to home, favorite school and then decommitted and went to Miami I'd completely agree.

You wouldn't be a bit curious if some of them were getting paid if Gainesville pumped out 5 star after 5 star and they all claimed to be huge gator fans, good academics, good relationship with coaches, positions of need and then at he end signed with LSU, Alabama, UGA, Arkansas, Ole Miss?? Are all of them getting paid - probably not? Are some of them? probably... Is Sony? Who knows?

Honestly I don't give a ****. If he signs with them... I won't wish him luck - I'm only concerned with those that are Hurricanes. But I will root for him 1 game a year... I'm sure you know which game that'll be. ;)

Anyone still curious who Kc McDermott was speaking to when he said the following:

"I'm going to do everything... all the other South Florida kids need to come home...be home, so that the U can be champs again. All these other kids need to stay home. This is your place. You grew up here. How can you leave this place? ...Everyone stay home and go to the U."

So NOT getting Sony would be as good as or better than having 2 of Portis, McGahee or Gore? Cause I'm cool with that too.

Man those seasons were so fun to watch!! Our 3rd and 4th stringers were better than 99% of the other backs in the country. In 01, we also had davenport on the team didn't we? And the year before that James Jackson and the year before that Edge. And all 6 of them played in the NFL.

I showed my coworker the 01 roster last week (big NFL guy - not big into college) and he was just shocked at the names... winslow, dre, mckinnie, vilma, wilfork, reed, taylor, rolle... it was honestly unfair. That 01 team should have just stuck together as a group and reclassified themselves from D1 to the NFL lol

South Florida players in general, probably...

And I highly doubt Sony is the last RB they will be going after this year. Looooong way to go.

here's a legit question:

if the staff knows there is shadiness going on here with UGA and Sony (which I would bet house on), why dont they say enough is enough and report these ***gots?

Bomb - I don't know if money is involved or not, but wouldn't be surprised either way. BUT, lets just say it is involved, what makes you think it will come out here? If it were Miami paying I have no doubt but if it's UGA - it will be "nothing to see here" from the NCAA, IMO.

Can't say if the NCAA will investigate but from what I understand there are a lot if people in miami really frustrated about this and there is some talk of blowing this up. We will see.

Do we really know he's getting paid? I find it hard to believe that it's common knowledge.

From what I was told, and who told it to me, yes I absolutely believe it. In fact I would bet my own money on it and lay odds.

Oh, if we had alabama's fan base- watch out! Our boosters are too cheap to buy players lol. Just look at our donation levels! But yes, we've had our own issues in the past. Look at the NCAA investigation going on now.

idk why we wouldnt blow it up. these ******** are down in our backyard every year doing shady **** while we have our pants down bent over for 2.5 years for the NCAA to go on a witch hunt to crucify us.

He was talking to everyone, I was thinking about that too, it really sucks though cuz since he's said it we pave had moten commit to UFag, cook flip to UFag, and now it looks like Sony's gone, guess they didn't get the memo

Because you could end up f*cking the kid and his family over. ANd these kids have lot of friends and family in the community and the local schools. It could end up being a Pyhrric victory for us. Yeah we might be able to get an SEC school investigated, but at what cost to us locally. We could end up enraging a lot of people in these communities who dont think there is anything wrong with these kids getting paid. Its made that much worse because of the NCAA sh*t we are in too. WE have NO breathing room to try to recruit on even terms with these programs. WE have to be choir boys, while the SEC gets to do whatever it wants.
