This is where I’m at. Good strength, very good basketball player, can run routes, hands catcher. Question would be explosiveness, although I think he has enough to be solid there. He reminds me of Upshaw last year.

I like his productivity. 1K plus yards as a junior and close to 17 ppg in basketball. He also has good reviews from the 7on7 circuit.

Does anybody from up North have a sense of his competition level? It looks pretty good on film. His first long TD in his junior film is against Heritage.

"Explosive" is tough to define but even if he's not explosive, I'm ok with it as long as he's productive. FWIW, he ran a 53 400M as a soph...which is really good.

Any word if he’s interested in b-ball, too?

I live up here they do play all the good schools in the area

I just want to try to sprinkle a little optimism here. On film, it looks like his split release against press is slowing him down. As a taller receiver (6’3”?), that’ll need work (Could be coaching. Saw him backpedal a bubble on his film. Sent a chill down my spine). When he’s running free, he gets plenty of separation, sometimes has to wait on the football. Pretty dynamic in space fore his size. Don’t know what his work ethic is but seems like a receiver that in this offense could outperform his ranking/expectations.
I was gonna say to me watching his film it looks like he had some technical deficiencies that can be corrected by KB. And for all we know the coaching he gets is trash. He may not be a day 1 star but you no doubt take and gamble on his traits + upside.

And Jimmy Herring and Duane Trucks both currently of Widespread Panic. Jimmy isn’t from Jax but he lives around there now.

Mike Campbell from the Heartbreakers. And obviously Hogtown is not far away: the rest of the Heartbreakers, plus the Leadon brothers (Tom from Mudcrutch and Bernie from Eagles).

Not really a fan of the tape. Doesnt seem that fluid and not enough high school seperation imo.

The receivers with meh speed/seperation who have corners on their hip the majority of their film have never panned out.

Hightower, Redding, Evidence Njoku, Langham, D'Mauri Jones, Jontavious Carter... Chance has been hurt but I think he fit the same mold.

If receivers aren't blowing high school corners up good luck at the next level, I dont care what your measurables are.
I like the kid a lot but this is also fair. WRs are such a fuggin crapshoot

But Spaffords speed is why he’s at the top of my list. I like this kids physicality though. Hopefully easier for him to get open instead of getting bullied
