Tom Brady made Belechick look like a genius. We now see what he is without Tom. He's a hack.he'll get 3 years minimum. too much money spent and he is a HOF'er
Aren't you being a little harsh with Belichick? I mean, we knew that team had little talent. I haven't watched much, but I think you have to give him some time to stock up with his players to see if he can be decent there. The age though is a big problem.

Does Belichek get fired mid-year? Any other coach with a different last name would
What state do you live in? I can't play CFB.

Belichick is not going to turn UNC into a powerhouse overnight. The team roster lacks talent and filled with transfers. Losing combination.
I never would have hired him. At his age he's not in for the long haul, and I don't believe he can recruit well enough to leave a well-stocked roster for his successor.
I listened to a podcast this week (can’t recall which one, maybe yahoo enquirer) where they talked about UNC outbidding all the g5 schools. They were going after the same players as g5 schools, thinking they could out scheme. The talent level is very bad.Alex, I don't disagree that the Heels lack talent. They are bad
But if you watch that game vs Clemson (who is still markedly better than UNC), they looked so structurally and fundamentally unsound. It looked like it was about more than just the talent

I caught some of that game. If the DC wasn’t his son he’d probably get fired on Monday.

This notion that the college game is just sooo much easier than the NFL, it's really not true. Especially since the college game has really influenced the NFL a lot the past decade or so
This reminds me of Charlie Weis talking about giving Notre Dame a ''decided schematic advantage'' when he first got that job
UNC set themselves up for major criticism when it was revealed they were counting themselves as the 33rd NFL franchise because of Belichick.
I tell people all the time they aren’t the same sports . Nowhere nothing alike. The NFL has always been the easier gig , yes the talent is better and the coaching is better but it’s all football. College is recruiting , baby sitting , game planning , portal , dealing with boosters / AD’s, then the whole compliance / NCAA dance. There’s a reason coaches are running to the nfl right now. This notion that the college game is just sooo much easier than the NFL, it's really not true.
