Some thoughts on Week 4 college football....

I think Baugh is the best running back in the country, especially with Ahmad Hardy sidelined. I agree that Philo may not be able to carry the team if the running game isn't working, I am just not convinced that any team has the goods to shut down their rushing attack completely.

Texas and Georgia I believe can shut their running game down.
 
Wake Forest will be considered a good win by the end of the season. I consider it a good win already. They are a good team. Top 25 for sure. 9-3 or better type of year for them again. The coach is good. QB/WR are real fun ACC players. Hernandez is an All-ACC caliber WR. Defense hustles and DC prepped very well and his players executed the gameplan as well as they could against us, taking advantage of a line that hasn't communicated well and was still learning to play with one another. Jeff Brohm always slips on banana peels in conference, but this likely wasn't one of those. Wake just played the full 60, just like they did versus us. Sign of a good, well coached team.

This Mississippi State team has a vibe about them right now. Hopefully its not just early season juice and the grind of the season makes them irrelevant for the Egg Bowl. Taylor has a big time gun for an arm and they are never out of it. Mizzou is a little juiceless without Hardy. Simmons is avg. Fun game, good environment. Really want MissSt to beat Alabama. The Tide are a snooze.

100% that is a good football team in Wake Forest. That might be the team we play in the ACC title game this year if we hopefully get there. That’s a good football team.

I begged for Miami to go hard after Waltez Clark. Even called someone on staff to let them know UF was paying a pittance for him. Dude reminds me of DJ Williams and I think he’ll end up being better than Baugh.

He looks really good too. One thing Napier did well was recruit the skill positions. His offense was a joke, but between the backs and then VB3, Dallas Wilson and Amir Jackson, they have NFL guys at those spots.

Their biggest issue isn't Philo in my opinion, it is the defense.

I think Austin Simmons is the guy you want. Taylor has more physical gifts, but Simmons has great pocket awareness, very accurate and can extend plays. The biggest thing I seen Saturday night is with only six starts, he is a real leader. Very vocal on the field, on the sidelines, dapping up the D when they make a stop. That dude got some juice. I just have a funny feeling Lane will be knocking on his door this off-season. Also, its not like Mizzou are the children of the poor - they got some loot laying around.

Kamario looks like the real deal. It’s going to be an all out bidding war.. You all in if your Miami, looking as if Mensah is gone after this year?! Or are you sold on Nickel? With what we got coming on defense next year, I’m trying to get in the kids ear right now…! I hope it’s happening Mr Mas!

I hope you’re right, he is improving. He isn’t Kamario right now. I’d sure like to give him another year if I could be greedy. BUT I want it all.

And like I said Kamerio is going to get the Brinx truck rolled up. I want to see how he continues to handle the hype.

I’d love to see Nickel be that Dude. Hopefully he is just sucking up the “aura” and “leadership “ from Mensah! He is HIM.
 
I think Buster Faulkner was one of the best hires of the off season, and he has that Florida offense rolling right now. The only question I have is can Jadan Baugh maintain this heavy of a workload? Philo has been in that offense for 3 years now but there's going to be a time where he'll need to make some passes to get a W. Their defense isn't anything to write home about but give Sumrall credit, he has them playing fast & physical football.

Kamario is saying he’s all miss state. Through and through. I respect it. But JKS was all cal and stayed loyal and he looks like absolute crap this year
 
Florida likely beats Texas because Texas can't score. They've been able to win defensive slugfests but if you score 24 you're beating them.

Texas' defense can cause turnovers and cause Florida to do dumb holding penalties though.
That is where this game can turn in their favor. Should be a fun match-up.

They have a Top 10 offense according to SP+. The run game is the strength for sure, but he’s been plenty good enough to get them to the playoffs.

You keep talking about stats but you leave out one big stat which is padding the stats you speak of............they have played some of the worst defensive teams in the country................
