Some thoughts on the Louisville loss

Stopped reading after ā€œAll of us would've signed up for 5-1 and sweeping our rivals.ā€ loser loser mentality
Losing to Louisville sucks but let’s be real who had us going undefeated this yr b4 the szn started? Majority of this board was predicting 8-4 or 9-3… now that the season is playing out we think being 5-1 and still hopeful is ā€œLoser Mentalityā€ lol **** crazy

Hoping that the meathead will change and evolve is going to disappoint us all. He is as stubborn as it gets, and was extremely fortunate to have been gifted a generational college QB like Cam, and he still couldn’t win the conference due to his inability to have a competent defense.

This season he’s back to his 3 yards and a cloud of dust preferred scheme. We should come out every game with a concerted effort to attack the other team’s weaknesses, which is what good coaches do.

Say what you want about the ACC, and I don’t have much nice to say about it either, but Miami is still a very, very, very, very big brand nationally. The committee is not leaving out an 11-1 Miami on a 6-game winning streak with our wins and a 3-point loss. It’s just not happening. So I don’t know how the breakdown by conference will be, nobody does. There’s literally half a season to still be played. But I’ll tell you this, right now at DK, the ACC is -190 to have over 1.5 teams in. So they’re already banking for 2, at least. I’m just telling you they’re not leaving out a brand like Miami at 11-1 with one loss by 3 points to a good tram. We didn’t get beat by 3 TDs by FAU.

This goes to an infinite chance if ND finishes 10-2 and USF is the G5 rep.
There is absolutely a path that the ACC gets 3 teams in if Miami wins out but doeesn’t make the ACC title game.

That said, that would come at the expense of the B10 and/or SEC so it would be a one-off exception because changes would be made asap to ensure it didnt happen again.

That said, we still got to do our part and win out. We do that and everything else will work itself out. Guaranteed.

Gotta be the worst take I’ve seen in a weekend of bad takes.

How exactly do you plan to play for it all if you lose on the first game of the playoffs?

All that matters is making the playoffs. If we make the playoffs, the season is a massive success.

Are you slow or just dumb? I was asked "If we make the playoff but not the ACC chip, would you consider this season a failure?"

In to which I responded, "I consider not winning the ACC in year 4, when Clemson and FSU are dumpster fires a failure, period.

Making the playoffs mean nothing to me unless we are playing for it all. I rather win the ACC and get bounced in our 1st game of the playoffs, than not win the ACC and let's say get bounced in R2 of the playoffs."

So again, I rather win the ACC, get eliminated R1, than to not win the ACC and get eliminated R2 of the playoffs. What is the difference between getting bounced in RD1 vs RD2? What do we win for advancing to R2 of the playoffs and losing?

Well you need to make the playoffs in the first place to even have a chance at the National Championship, saying an ACC chip is more important then making the playoff is wild to me but to each his own šŸ¤·šŸ¾ā€ā™‚ļø .. if we missed the ACC title game entirely but make the playoffs at 11-1 I’d wouldn’t give two *****..I want a chance at the Natty

Who said winning an ACC ship is more important than making the playoffs? Reading comprehension is your friend.

With that being said, do you also not know that winning the ACC guarantees a playoff spot? They go hand in hand bud.

With all due respect, let’s get it right:

Dillingham, who was the OC for Bo Nix at Oregon and then with a Freshman, Sam Leavitt, took Arizona State to the playoffs in year #2 of his tenure and lost in double overtime to Texas.

He lost with a backup QB by the name of Jeff Simms.

We saw mantits Mario did with TVD who he called the best QB in America but Dillingham is being punished for losing with Jeff Simms.

Lets not bring up Emory

That’s literally what u implied my guy you said if we get bounced in round one what does it matter you’d rather see us win an ACC chip like wtf are you drunk ?

Yeah it dirty pool to cite the Jeff Sims game this year. Leavitt came back and they beat TTU. That means a **** of a lot more than the game when they got blown out with the worst starting FBS QB like 8 years running

Are you ******* dumb? Lacking a chromosome? I said

Slooooooooooowwwww for you.

I rather win the ACC, which means we are in the playoffs, have an ACC title/banner and lose in RD1 of the playoffs, than to not even play for or win the ACC, still make the playoffs and lose in R2D.

Got it this time? Need it in sign language?

So you want Mario to act like the guy who gets blown out by Utah. Got it.

My head hurts trying to argue with this logic.

We agree that playing for a national championship is the ultimate goal. What gives you a better chance of doing that? Winning the ACC title or winning a first round playoff game?

Is losing in the CFB semifinal better? You don't win anything for that either so no? What is more likely to get you to the semifinal game -- an ACC title or winning in RD 1?

Your hypothetical is quite literally is what happened to Clemson last season. Was Clemson's season a massive success in your eyes?

Okay, so you just have zero clue what a competent run game looks like then. Just impossible for you to think the Run Scheme isn't the #1 most glaring issue of the entire team for the remainder of this season. We are at defcon 1 with this run scheme. You keep making excuses for it. You keep failing to say that the run scheme/bs identity is what's making the rest of the offensive issues worse. LITERALLY I said this to you pre-season that this run scheme eliminates explosive runs and makes it so any penalty is crippling and drive-killling. Now we've seen it for like three different 4th quarters/second halves and the entirety of this louisville game.

THIS RUN SCHEME IS ******* GARBAGE, and if we lose another game it'll be the fault AGAIN.

My scenario was simple. Re-read. I specifically stated, I rather win the ACC and lose RD1, than not win the ACC and let's say get bounced R2.

I went further on to state that unless we are playing for the title, IDC about what we do in the playoffs, I, me, myself, prefer winning the ACC and losing in RD1, than not having an ACC title and getting bounced in another round in the playoffs and not making the title game.
