Some Recruiting News

Dad good luck t you and your son.. If he's looking around I hope Mark Richt is looking around to fill his spot.

It's business

I am a U fan, so I can only hope that's the case. Like I said for the third time, that's not a problem. If my son is high on their board they will still take his commitment if not then he really didn't need to be there in the first place. I also don't think they have ever stopped recruiting other LB's so may the best players step onto campus!!!

Hate when kids "commit" and then start the recruitment process. We really need to get away from accepting those kind of commitments in the future because we always get burned. I love Clemson's approach where once you commit, they pull your offer if you take visits.

Are you equally upset by schools who accept commits and then pull the scholarship or slow play a kid?

I understand the logic behind what Clemson does.....basically is saying "Don't commit unless you are ready", which all these kids should do....explore all your options before giving a committment

That's great in theory, but these kids still get lots of contact from other staffs telling them how great they are even after they commit, and some of them flip. ****, would you want to hear Richt say that he stopped recruiting a dude because he'd committed to Clemson?

The answer to your last question is **** to the no. Clemson, nor anyone for that matter, stops recruiting elite recruits when they look around after a verbal.

As.for Slaton at the DT position, that short video isn't much to go on. He doesn't show a lot of anything other, just a straight forward bull rush with slightly above average quickness off the line at his size. Slightly is the key word.

Anyone familiar with the team, did he often play DT or was this a one time deal since it was IMG?
I say leave it up to Kool..If he says yes I'll transform him into a savage beast then you take him...

I have a safety for you guys to look at. His name is Kareem Gaitor and he plays safety for Miami Edison. He is also Waynmon's first cousin and they played optimist together at the boys club. Here is his highlights, let me know what y'all think. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PSimxyyalVE

Good looking player. Does he have any FBS offers? I'm going to send his video out to a couple buddies.

Only Southern University. He said Temple was supposed to offer but they haven't as of yet. He is a hidden gem and definitely a D-1 caliber athlete.

A Suprising edition about Mike Harley per 247:

Wide receiver Mike Harley (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) said Miami still has the edge.

"They are still pushing," Harley said. "They are keeping interest in me throughout the season. There's still a place in my heart for them."

Harley also lists high interest in Wisconsin and Utah and said he plans to make a commitment at the end of May.

He's been in touch with Badgers area recruiter Inoke Breckterfield and Utah area recruiter Dennis Erickson.

"Those are some cool guys," Harley said. "Some real cool cats."

The Crystal Ball reads 100-percent for Miami.

Syracuse and Missouri are also schools Harley mentioned he's been talking with.

He said he would take an official visits to Wisconsin in the fall.

Nick Roberts want nothing more than to play at UM with Darrion and Shaq from his school and Pinkney from his 7 on 7 team... but he is being slow played by UM and now everybody and their brother is showing him love... UCLA was his last offer... A bird in hand is better than two in the bush

He should decommit and go where he is wanted.....I hate when schools do that to kids....even us

Can Steed's dad fill us in on the LSU interest?

LSU has been selling him on the opportunity of coming in and playing as a true freshman. They don't have any LB's after converting to a 3-4 defense. They currently have a true freshman starting at LB, two converted DE's, and a Senior. He is still committed and says he is just mainly focusing on having a great senior campaign. I was the one that actually thought he should visit those campuses to have something to compare to Miami.
How bout Texas?? What are they selling him??

Some brisket maybe, they have some BBQ down there.

We need CB's badly and this kid is all in and good looking recruit. I feel like we need to keep him instead of getting screwed at the end when some of these other guys make their choices.

If they lose brini and Davis, they won't slow play him anymore

Wish the coaches would just see what the kid is all about, want him here bad. I hope he remains patient, and they realize before it's too late.

Its right for kids to check out their opportunities. I see no problem with it. It will be fierce competition at LB in the next 2/3 years. I believe competition makes everyone better but that is not for everyone

It's right for kids to check out their opportunities BEFORE they commit. After they commit, they shouldn't be checking out **** but how they can help the program they committed to.

Sad to see adults encouraging kids to develop bad habits. Learn early about commitment and loyalty. If you don't like the place you're committed to or don't trust their commitment to you, then do the right thing and de-commit.

What about a case like Nick... Wants UM committed, but now is being slow played... What would you advise him to do?
