Hate when kids "commit" and then start the recruitment process. We really need to get away from accepting those kind of commitments in the future because we always get burned. I love Clemson's approach where once you commit, they pull your offer if you take visits.
Are you equally upset by schools who accept commits and then pull the scholarship or slow play a kid?
I understand the logic behind what Clemson does.....basically is saying "Don't commit unless you are ready", which all these kids should do....explore all your options before giving a committment
That's great in theory, but these kids still get lots of contact from other staffs telling them how great they are even after they commit, and some of them flip. ****, would you want to hear Richt say that he stopped recruiting a dude because he'd committed to Clemson?
The answer to your last question is **** to the no. Clemson, nor anyone for that matter, stops recruiting elite recruits when they look around after a verbal.
As.for Slaton at the DT position, that short video isn't much to go on. He doesn't show a lot of anything other, just a straight forward bull rush with slightly above average quickness off the line at his size. Slightly is the key word.
Anyone familiar with the team, did he often play DT or was this a one time deal since it was IMG?
