Mario has to say all the right things about TVD and Jacurri with 3 games left. We will know a lot more after an early December bowl game and early HS signing day. (Dec 20)

Not to mention this was a guy who preaches competition. I would have been even more determined to bring someone in after the TVD post spring stunt.

you are aware that the hiesman hopeful qb at FSU is a Taggart recruit, while Miami was stuck with a guy with mush for brains from the previous regime.

Jordan transferred in Taggart last year from Louisville.

Jordan is kinda an FSU legacy in the sense that his brother played baseball at FSU.

Norvell developed Travis and has helped significantly to make him what he is today, 6th year senior or not.

so again Taggart left Norvell a qb that could develop into a Heisman candidate and has won FSU numerous games legacy or not. If Taggart does bring him in he's not there.

The HC making 8 mil should have since January sought out a qb int he portal...especially with LOSING a qb to the portal.

I dont get paid and i was on here from the Spring..especially after Jacurri Brown had the interest in redshirting thatit was a major priority. Even started a list of some guys to target on the recruiting board up until like this summer.....We did NOTHING.

who said he was going to be developed by Taggart? That doesn't change the fact that he's not at FSU if Taggart doesn't offer him correct? Its just disingenuous to say Norvel walked into a worse situation than Mario did. People act like it wasn't two years removed from Jimbo being there who had recruited numerous top five classes and they didn't have 20 years worth of stink to erase in the minds of HS and transfer players. Manny left some good players that Mario has developed like Rivers, JHH, Taylor, WIlliams, George etc, but none of those players are as impactful as a QB. By next year Mario will have flipped the roster to where its manly just his players just like Norvel had done by year 3.

Norvell walked into a room with Travis who only became what he is now after hard work under Norvell. Mario walked into a room with the ACC offensive Freshman of the year in TVD and the dude went down the tubes.

I think the timing would have been the more infuriating thing… not having time to find someone else. Though if he would have had the season he’s having this year people would have been ecstatic we moved on

Would have forced us to go with a Jacurri/Emory rotation of some sort.

So one HC is basically a glorified OL coach and the other is his own OC/QB coach and yet the OL coach is supposed to DEVELOP QB’s. Got it.

Both HC’s are responsible for QB acquisitions. One HC has to rely on an OC/QB coach to develop QB’s while the other does it himself. .

It goes to the point that Mario offers little in terms of a head coach aside from being a CEO (why he shouldn’t meddle) and he has failed with two different OCs in developing a QB. Indisputable facts up to this point.

Makes a better case for Lane to have been the HC here, no?
