Some Positives

The negatives are obvious and glaring. Coming into this season I had a feeling TVD would struggle and the lack of talent was going to be rough so last night was painful, but not shocking. I guess it’s my knee jerk reaction at this point to try to find positives to talk about…coping mechanisms if you will. So bear with me

A couple of guys that take beatings here played their best games last night

DJ Ivey was everywhere. He was physical. He played with confidence. It would be a HUGE boost to have him play like that in ACC comp. Kudos to the kid. I’m sure he’s read and heard it all about how bad he is and he played his best game by far last night (haven’t rewatched)

Jordan Miller. Whew. That DL was eating last night and 91 had a couple of plays that he was flat out dominant

LT. That was the guy we’ve all been waiting for

Jalen Rivers. With all the crazy talent Mario is possibly bringing in on the OL, Rivers looks like a potential first rounder

Parrish. Bless that kid. Not sure I’ve seen many backs that small run that big in my time as a fan here

All said and done I believed coming into this season the UNC game would probably let us know the most about the kind of team we have. Unfortunately A&M was not nearly as good as I thought they were going to be and the game highlighted a lot of our issues

Winning the coastal is our barometer and ultimately this game is meaningless for that

I was hoping we could have some easy victories through our conference play but I don’t see that happening
Ivey was a pleasant surprise. For someone who’s been as victimized as he’s been, it was good to see him play well.

Thank God for 21. I was not expecting that when we took him but he was a grown man last night.
I was dead wrong about him

I saw the spring game and I’m like **** this kid is tiny. And not a speedster

I thought he was more about quality depth than anything

A&M has some physical dudes on D and he was dragging those mfers

More negatives than positives....that's troubling...Love how Ivey played...DL played well alot of the time...LBers were a mess....STs a disaster....TEs literally invisible...
Red Zone offense an absolute joke.

Lots of negatives my man…

This is how I cope instead of alcohol 😂

Caleb Johnson is ******* good too. Flagg played well so i can't knock on his snaps but i think Johnson should start over Steed (who was good, but I think Johnson is the best linebacker and he's fast).

We won everything but the score!

We are a physical football team which we have not been for a while now. OL and DL both dominated. We have to stick to that identity and feed the backs to set up play action pass. I think we were trying to get tvd his moment on a big stage, but he is not that guy and neither are our receivers.

Yeah Steed had a rough game

It’s one thing when he gets asked to chase and cover speed guys across the middle which is not his game for sure, but he was missing his gaps, missing tackles at the line

We got screwed by special teams blunders and need better red zone offense. That’s where Arroyo should come in. Was talking to one of my buddies and he asked who #80 is.
Arroyo is a freak

Just from first watch I did see us try to go to him more than I think people are giving us credit for but we couldn’t make the connection happen

Still would obviously like to see him become a focal point
