This... How was Bill O Brian as an NFL HC? Is he an innovative OC now for UA? I think the point is Mario needs people that will hold him accountable and someone who has seen the NFL side first hand. With his and Chud's relationship you have both IMO, doesnt mean Mario won't have the final say however its always good to have someone to question your motives good or bad.
This is the opposite of the last HC here. The last guy was very insecure and that’s why he always hired his boys or always wanted to be the smartest guy in the room. Even if he wasn’t.

Mario hires great assistants and is ok not be the smartest cat in the room. He wants to win and wants results. That’s why he always has a really good staff. The first sign of a good leader is surrounding yourself with smarter people than yourself. Hire good people and let them do what they do , only stepping in when it’s necessary.

Exactly, That is exactly what true leadership is, the former regime wasnt even in the same league.

“The first sign of a good leader is surrounding yourself with people smarter than yourself”. This can’t be emphasized enough.

Posts like these completely ignore half the equation to having an explosive offense. Baker was throwing the ball to two 1st round and a 3rd round WR. Murray had two 1st round WRs. Mac had three 1st round WRs, one of them winning the Heisman. Oregon had nowhere close to that talent in the WR room.
So offenses without 1st round WRs aren’t explosive? TVD’s best WR was a guy who transferred because he couldn’t get snaps at OU. Rambo isn’t a first round pick. And even with all the WR screens and and bubble RPO stuff that we run explosive plays weren’t the problem. Offense around the country aren’t full of first round picks and they create explosives. Mario hired a guy who either didn’t value them like Lashlee does or was incapable of scheming of them up.

So if we lose who do we blame? Has to be the talent.........not being a troll it's a amazing staff imo. Just think fans expectations of 10-2 are unrealistic with all the depth issues up front.
Portal will help for sure because no staff is going to turn us into a CFP team next year definitively. We will be elite in recruiting though and I am of the firm belief if we close on who we want from the portal? Our floor is the ACC title next year, absolutely. I’ll be outwardly that confident. We have a good team, can be a great team with the right additions. Staff won’t be the issue.

When this staff has its reveal you’ll see a national recruiting staff. A perfect combination.
Surprised Chudzinski would Leave Boston at this time in his life. His kids are kind of at the magic age. High school, figuring stuff out part of life.

This is, of course, if he is an option on the staff.
