Some Kool Aid from the great Bruce Feldman

Just a question(for anyone).... last year before Cam entered the portal. Who was considered the better QB? I'm asking because I wasn't following Cam before we started pursing him.
That year we were coming off TVD, and watched him falter over and over again, looking like a statue with a clean pocket and couldn't punish any defense for sitting in zones. You'd be an idiot to pick Beck over Cam, considering Cam's experience in an Air Raid system (vs Beck in pro-style) and Cam being more mobile.

If Georgia's offense was worth a **** this past year then Beck would already be in the NFL as a first round pick. He dealt with an OLine that gave up 25 sacks, a run game that ranked in the 100s, and a group of pass catchers that led the nation in drops and he still got them to the SEC champ game.
I heard all these excuses for Bryce Young and look how that's worked out.

At the end of the day you're at Georgia - you have a talent advantage on most of the teams you're playing against.

A lot of Beck slander in here. You all know that he was the #1 QB on a lot of boards before last season, right? He has all the NFL prototype QB skills. The reasons for last season are well documented but I think this being his money year, he’s going to ball out. I personally think it’s more likely than not he’s a 1st round pick.

Almost everyone here would have taken Beck over Cam before last year. And when I say “almost” I mean like maybe one or two people wouldn’t have.

This year will be a good measuring stick for our offense. Are we the place that turns mid rounders into first round quarterbacks? Because that would be a great rep to have.

Miami has a talent advantage over almost every team they play every year. We see how that’s worked out.

Georgia played 5 of the top 10 scoring defenses in the nation last year. Including Texas twice. That doesn’t include games against Clemson, Florida and Georgia Tech. The talent advantage Beck has at Miami over the ACC will be much larger than what he had at Georgia last year. Offensively, of course. Georgia having a really good defense doesn’t really affect anything.

So much for a QB killer. Crazy the narratives spit by folks.
I don’t think Mario is a QB killer at all just playing devils advocate a bit, if he has back to back top 5 QBs and misses the playoffs both years, that won’t help when people bring up the Justin Herbert stuff

If he can’t win with top 5 picks at QB then when can he?

Let’s end that stuff this year

I'm just presenting the Kool Aid.

And before this gets misconstrued- I personally don't think any QB in America right now is Cam, including Beck. We haven't had one of him in my lifetime and we may never again. But Beck has a very high ceiling compared to most college QBs.
You're @DMoney you don't need to explain.

Oh boy....this is a perfect test to see who isnt opened minded and will dig in to protect Cam. They can only see things after the fact. "no way is Beck going to match Cam"

Beck may stink...but its May 12th. So at this point this statement from Feldman is 100% potentially true. We probably dont even need Beck to be 90% of Cam. If he is just very good, the OL protects him and we run the ball our offense will be plenty good enough to make the ACC Champ game and likely a playoff.

The defense is the big "We cant be any worse right?"
She's not expected to be nothing like cam. We won't ask for that out of him. There's a reason we picked up tight ends & bruising rb. Last year we knew we were gonna be airing it out often. That's not going on this year. Well throw plenty. But much safer throws, higher completion percentage etc. But nothing he's saying isn't accurate when it relates to the two. Under monken before last season started Beck was **** near a unanimous top five pick. Bobo always destroys QBs. That's not saying that's the reason this happened just the facts that it does under Bobo. It's also a fact that the reason Kim even ended up coming and not You bring his name in the draft is because he was told all around that he was going to be a third to fifth round pick. The results are simply the results from there.

Everything you wrote makes sense to me except "she" and "Kim". Not sure what that's all about lol.

Cam played at Washington State and Beck played at Georgia. If roles were reversed Cam is a 2-time NC. Being considered better has more to do with media coverage than ability.
Playing at Washington State enhanced cams value if anything. Because he was able to show out like that on a horrible team and a horrible conference. Kim's problem and why he ended up coming here in the first place had nothing to do with Washington State or Georgia or Miami or anywhere else it was his own game that had to improve. He had to prove to everybody that he could be safer with the ball that he wouldn't take as many risks when he was running when he was standing in the pocket etc. He did make substantial improvement in those categories and also helped that he had an offensive line that he could **** near pitch a tent and roast s'mores with before he'd have to throw. Kim's situation was a perfect mesh of multiple occurrences. I don't think being at Georgia throughout makes it 10 times better when the reality is SEC defenses and physicality is another tier obviously from pac 12 or 10 whatever the **** that ***** called over there. Now do I think he would have figured it out at Georgia probably far quicker, absolutely. Cam really is one of one. The kid is amazing and we're blessed to have been able to get him here and experience a year with him. I would have loved to see what 4 years with him would have looked like. But don't take away the fact Carson Beck is pretty good. Georgia or not the kids pretty good he has nice and tangibles. Obviously having Brock Bowers did a world for his career. That kid makes or breaks a quarterback regardless. What he does without him and a decent offense we'll just have to see.

This. Cam needed Miami as much as Miami needed Cam. He was not the same player here as he was at Washington State, for several reasons. One, HE was better. He absolutely improved, both his decision making and his understanding of the game. But one of the reasons he was better is because his supporting cast was better. He trusted his teammates. Most importantly, he trusted his offensive line. We told him he didn't need to be Superman, and he trusted it. Just make the plays that are there as you sit back in the pocket and read a ******* book. And that's exactly what he did. So Cam didn't make Miami, and Miami didn't make Cam. They made each other.

That's exactly what we're hoping for with Beck, and there's no reason he can't ascend the same way Cam did. This time last year, not a soul on earth was saying Cam would be 1.1. Same with Beck right now. You'd think, if anyone would understand that what has happened in the past doesn't dictate what will happen in the future, it's this fanbase. We literally all just watched it happen. Cam went from Day 3 12 months ago to 1.1 today. Because of HIS ability, and MIAMI putting him in a position to succeed. Beck will be playing in the same system, behind what i feel will be an even better offensive line. Will the kids he's throwing to be able to get open the way the kids Cam was throwing to did? TBD. But laughing off the notion that Beck literally can't be 1.1 or a high draft pick is ******* moronic. Of course he can. He's got the talent to do it, and we all just watched a kid with major question marks do it. At this very school under these very coaches. A whole 6 months ago.

Dude just compared Carson Beck to DJU 😭

This is exactly why you don't give these inbreeders these forums on podcasts that people actually listen to. To say there's similarities between him and DJ you is the dumbest thing ever when you go ahead and compare two players that have zero comparisons. DJ was always trash and basic as can be. You could watch the kid from the second the ball was snapped and see how he would have panic attacks. No matter what I think of Carson Beck that's never been his story The comparison starts and ends right there alone. Now if you want to compare the two teams then the comparison would be Miami this year and Florida State last year. Not the quarterbacks but the potential situation. We very well could start two and two. But what does that have to do with the two players this moron mentioned?

I can safely say, during the recruiting of the transfer portal QBS, I thought it was Cam 1A Howard 1B.
Thank god I was wrong, we hit a home run and I'd never say that again.

I guess sometimes these coaches know what to look for haha

I’ve said many times that anybody that takes idiots like this seriously are as dumb as the messenger.
