I offer you the same challenge I gave to verbal ****...please show me one post where I supported Golden after the first game of this year. The search function works...I invite you to use it.

if the best thing you've got to link to be being a "Golden Girl" is that I supported Golden before the first game of this season..well OK then, ****wad.

You've already admitted to defending/supporting Golden, just not after the Louisville game(pats you on the head). We didn't put any recent time frame on it, you did in a attempt to weasel your way out of being a Golden Girl. Now, go ahead....

****TARD!
ILLITERATE!

SQUAWK!

So you're admitting you were a Golden Girl? OK, argument settled.
Congrats on going a post or two without using your newest buzzword.

?? Tell you about coaches who got 5 years? There's too many to name.

Point is that there are very few coaches who were fired before 5 years without a losing season or some controversy.

Kifffin was constantly embroiled in little controversies while at USC. He butted heads continually with Pat Haden, who hated him.

Mushcamp? Had a losing season and butted heads with admin.

Pretty much any other coach I can think of that was fired before a fifth year (Turner Gill, Charlie Weis, Bob Davie, Schnellenberger while he was at OU, go down the list....) all had either sat least one losing season or some sort of controversy.

Original quote: Name me a coach that was fired before year 5 without a losing season or major controversy.

Lane Kiffin. He was fired because he sucked and USC has/had real SANCTIONS (REAL UNLIKE OURS).

Will Muschamp actually had success (11 wins and Sugar Bowl), but he was fired.

Al Golden has had NO success. He doesn't deserve a fifth year. Coaches at real programs get fired and are not given 5 years especially when in year 4 you have the same record as year 1. How about the Penn State Controversy?

Will Muschamp also had a losing season...which was the whole ****ing point.

What about the "PSU controversy?" That was only controversy to fans...no media ****storm, unlike Kiffin at USC or any other major controversy.

Golden hasn't had a losing season--although it sure as **** feels like he has.

Muschamp did more then Golden. Call me when Al wins 11 games or goes to a BCS bowl.

Nobody gets 5 years at good programs with the track record Al has had. You made this up, we wait for all these coaches.

Michigan, USC and UF all cut ties without a fifth year. You're wrong. There is no good program that would tolerate this performance. Even RS was shown the door after 4 years with the almost identical record overall and a better record in year 4. Golden has done nothing. Deserves nothing either.

Dude, you're making my case for me.

Muschamp--losing season.
Kiffin-controvery (Pat Haden hated him for his constant shenanigans)
RichRod at Michigan - losing season
Hoke at Michigan - Losing season AND controversy

I'm not happy about it, but Golden has been a good "face" for the university, has stayed out of the headlines and away from controversy...and he hasn't had a losing season. It's standard for guys like him to get 5 years.

The only reason Golden has not had a losing season is because he didn't have a bowl game the first year and we haven't played our bowl game this year.

Buyout isn't $8 million... It's $5 million according to a booster.[/

Like i said he just said it is significantly higher before he finishes the 2015 season. So if it is only $5 million then it drops after next year to 2-3 million. I just read somewhere that said like 80% so i assumed if he makes roughly 10-11 million through 2019, 80% would be about 8 million. I never got a number i just have been told it is a large enough amount to keep them on edge about this year or waiting until next year.

You changed the terms. Originally you said fired "before 2015", now it is before he finishes the 2015 season. You still sound like a straw man for somebody who is just trying to get pass the uproar.

On the real, most folks I know from other parts of the country just don't like Miami, to the point where they move or if they come to visit, they let it be known that they are not coming back.

This city is not for everyone.

You want to know what it is - every one of those people I know have been folks from other parts of the US, most white. White Americans have a hard time with Miami.

And why don't they like it? Because everyone speaks Spanish in Miami.

They feel like Miami is in the United States, so the people should speak English. They get annoyed with the Latin culture, and with hearing Spanish spoken everywhere.

A white woman like Kelly Golden probably feels like she's living in a foreign third world country - like she went from Philly to Panama or something like that.

That's why they've started flocking to Broward/Palm/Tampa/Orlando instead of Miami. White flight lol. The only exception is ****** Americans, but I'm talking your white, middle-class, regular average American doesn't normally like Miami very much.

I'm just relaying what I've heard.... I personally love Miami more than any other city in America. But I also like Latin culture. Most Americans don't.

It's not just the language; that's kind of a cop-out.

There's a perception (whether true or not) that South florida is full of rude, narcissistic, fake people...think Nevin Shapiro, for example.

There's also a perception that South Florida is a ****ty sports town--as witnessed by all the empty seats at UM, Heat, Dolphins, and Marlins games, despite multiple titles among the sports.

It's not a ****ty sports town, there's just a difference in Latin American and North American culture. Look at Brazil and Argentina.... soccer games are NEVER packed, people show up late, people jump on the winning bandwagon.... just like in Miami.

But I don't think anyone would say that Brazilians and Argentinans are not passionate about their soccer. It's just a different, more lax culture.

But Miami's not in Latin America. It's in North America. And in comparison to other North American cities, Miami is a ****ty sports city.

--The Cubs have better attendance than the Marlins, despite the fact that the Marlins are two-time champs.
--The Fins have the worst (or near the worst) attendance figures in the NFL. This includes teams like the Texans, who have worse records over the course of the last few years.
--UM can't fill its stadium regularly even in the best of years.

Culturally, Miami is in Latin America. Actually check that.... the city's black people are more southern, and everyone else is Latin American besides a small minority of whites who are mostly ****** and from the Northeast.

Which is why hiring the most white coach in America, a Penn State big 10 man, was never going to be a cultural fit here.

I still believe Al Golden can be a good football coach.... just not at Miami.

Keep pitching, Al. Now it is the City of Miami's fault. You never won the MAC either.

CaneInHeelCountry was one of the biggest Golden supporters until recently. It should come as no surprise that he is defending Golden.

Not true, but when has the truth ever mattered here?

Can't have a legit discussion on this board.

Now you're flat out lying...yes you were.

I love how all these Golden lovers are running for the hills now. And you're absolutely right....you can't have a discussion on this board especially with so many morons floating around.

Just so we're clear here...anyone who ever supported Golden at any point before this season is a "Golden Girl"

Nobody ever said that.

Then what the ****'s your point?

I supported Golden before this season...guilty as charged.

How does that make me a "Golden Girl?

If you supported Golden all the way up until the end of the Louisville game this year, making excuses for him after blowouts last year . . . then yes, you're a Golden Girl.

By the way, you need two quotation marks, bub.

What if I didn't make excuses for him after blowouts last year, but knew he wasn't getting fired last year and so there was no sense in calling for his head, so I decided to see how the season started. And then I realized once the UL game started that it was same old same old.
