Just remember, the number of players going into the portal, the total from all schools, is going to be greater than the number of players that are accepted into other schools.

It not going out on a limb to say there’s going to be way more portal declarations then there will be actual portal transfers, by a significant margin.

Which means in a couple of months or so, there’s going to be a bunch of guys in limbo.

Theres gonna be a lot guys with chapped lips from all the *** kissing they're gonna have to do when they want to pull their name out of the portal and beg coaches to let them come back to their current team. Thats going to be the only option a bunch of these dudes are going to have if the NCAA ***** don't fix the mess they made by not adding IC's for this season.

Not defending pope or Wiggins cuz they aren’t ACC level starters at WR at this point in their careers. But if they stayed would people not **** on them? I wish things had turned out better for Pope because I remember how crazy this site went when he committed to us over Bama. Wiggins was always a developmental type kid. If its either of them that leave, it was probably long time coming they just wanted to finish out the semester... Start over fresh somewhere your senior year.

Manny had to have sat some kids down after the Spring game to give them the real. Guys like Jennings, Hillary, Wiggins maybe Pope just dont have a place here anymore unless they want to ride the bench. **** maybe even Carter..who knows. But some of these guys needed to be advised that looking around at other options isnt a bad idea right now and grab a spot while they can.

If you get into a bad recruiting cycle, like the Canes did with QBs, OL and WR, deficiencies can become glaring when they make it to the field. Particularly when the cupboards bare and they end up as one of the, or the, best alternatives at their position.

A lot of Canes in those positions hit their ceiling in this program and never improved as they needed, or we hoped. Some of its on the athlete, but some of its on the evaluation, recruiting and coaching (development). That's even more critical when you aren't winning and the 5 stars want to go where they can win a NC. Rosier was told he'd never start and the program was forced to depend on him for most of two seasons - even though you might say we lucked out with him winning the Coastal, but that was it and that said a lot about the state of the program.
