A winning ACC record after 2 seasons isn't too much to ask for $16 million over 2 years. But hey, I guess we should be happy with consecutive 3-5 ACC records IF we somehow beat Boston College

Gimmicky? Lol. Nah bruh. What does that even mean? Paul Johnson coached circles around the acc with the triple fu*kin option. 🤣🤣🤣

At the very least. The " gimmicky" coaches know how to use their specific talent in the right positions to execute the plays they scheme up.

Brohm running prostyle, with a lil spread, lil pistol. He's got some gimmick plays to keep you honest. As he should.

Wasn't nothing gimmick about lining up under fuqin center in 12 personnel and using play action pass to setup the run to the tune of 38 on our ***.

You gotta explain that gimmick shi*t to me bruh
 
He's a good coach, unfortunately we don't have that. We should of won 9 games this season due to our talent but coaching held us back on offense.
 
Mario’s results so far have been the worst I’ve seen as a fan here, relatively speaking and statistically speaking

Doesn’t mean he can’t have success long term

I think the way he wanted to overhaul everything here is what gets these discussions all out of whack

But just because that was his plan, doesn’t mean it was a good plan

Did you look Mario up before he was hired or bother to delve into his coaching record? If you did, you wouldn’t be shocked by any of this. Maybe you let yourself believe the his PAC-12 Covid championship was valid. Or the one Rose bowl win wasn’t just a one off.

They can’t. Every team has some gimmicks to them. We have been begging to put BS in wildcat. Guess what? That’s gimmicky.
We put WRs in line blocking - gimmicky.
TBH, much of Guidry’s defense is gimmicky.

We are so good at calling out other teams but can’t see we do the same ****, except it doesn’t work for us because we don’t scheme it up right most of the time. (Guidry’s defense notwithstanding).

Of all the excuses we have for not holding Mario more accountable, other teams being ”gimmicky” and ”ACC refs” are two of the weakest.

Did I ever say I was shocked by this? Yes, I saw him get his *** handed to him twice by Utah in 2021. Maybe you should take a reading comprehension course and not make assumptions that I'm shocked, rather just pointing out a sobering reality for the Mario slurpers.
 
I’ll say one thing in defense of Mario…sorta…nevermind **** that…

What we needed was a complete implosion of the program and a rebuild from top to bottom admin included

All we’ve been doing is trying to find bandaids flying by the seat of their pants

So that’s what he chose to do

Problem is with such an approach, he hasn’t shown me that he’s trustworthy enough to pull it off

No we didn’t. The program has never been in such bad shape that it needs a 10 year rebuild.

We all can agree that Golden was one of the worst and his recruiting was largely a joke. Yet the only competent coach we have had since Butch put up 9 and 10 wins in years 1-2.
