so the smoke begins (Fall Football Conference Updates)

As soon as u can articulate a singular, cohesive thought as to what the purpose of the NCAA is regarding leadership, I will. B/c right now, EVERY sportswriter & columnist is questioning the leadership of that entity that GOVERNS the teams that are apart of it’s legislation.

And just so u know, Roger Goodell definitely governs ownership and how the NFL is ran. It’s voted upon, TOGETHER, with him presiding over it. There’s the NFLPA, ownership, lawyers, and Goodell, ALL TOGETHERdiscussing matters pertaining to the league he oversees.

So miss me w/ ur NCAA apologist attitude. Right now ever conference is going rogue; u know why? B/c the governing body is NO WHERE TO BE FOUND TO OVERSEE WHAT’S GOING ON IN ITS LEAGUE.

So they have the power to cancel the NCAA tourney to protect its players & fans, as u eloquently pointed out, but all of a sudden they are handcuffed regarding the NCAA football season? FOH. Don’t reply unless u have a concise answer as to why leadership in the NCAA have not oversaw discussions. We’re not talking bout no **** dictatorship, we’re talking about plans, and overseeing discussions of its league.
you’re obviously too stupid or dense to understand that the NCAA exerts power And decision making authority over march madness because they own the tv contracts for the tournament, its not a conference by conference basis. They get 86% of their revenue from that tourney. They also crown the national champion. Now here’s the difference for the slow people, the conferences own the football tv contracts, not the NCAA. They aren’t involved at all, so it’s nothing like college b ball

The NCAA has also NEVER crowned a college football national champion In It’s 100+ year History, they merely recognize who others choose. Ap writers and coaches, and nerds formulating algorithms in their moms basement have had more say in who the national champion is in football than the NCAA. The cfp is completely separate from the NCAA, so was the bcs. And who ruNs the cfp? Yes it’s the conference commissioners. the bowl games Have agreements with the conferences, not the NCAA on who plays in them. So why tf would you expect the NCAA to have any say on what the conferences do when they have nothing to do with the football contracts or postseason, and no money in the game?

doesnt Matter what you think it should be Based on invalid comparisons to college b ball, the conferences run college football, not the NCAA. they have no leadership role Because the conferences run everything and they wouldn’t let the NCAA run THEIR businesses. How many times have I said it? if you can’t get that through your head, your arguing with reality

As I’ve been saying, it’s pretty tough to explore fall options when your school just placed a vote against the fall option. No idea how that ever made a bit of sense to anyone.
Yeah it was just talking heads with no authority trying to save face with fans and recruits

One of the shows on the XM college football channel was interviewing Karl Darrell today. He starts off saying if SEC and ACC saw the same data he saw they would not be playing. Two minutes later he tells the hosts that Colorado is exploring options to play this fall outside of the pac10. Completely contradicts himself in the interview

No need for that. We know about your source and no one is doubting their sincerity. But it seems like this is a situation of "immovable object vs. irresistible force".

After the turmoil we've had with our BOT vs. program, watching them fighting it out from the cheap seats is just delicious.
Thankfully my guy was right again and I can put off the crow until next time.

They must realize how stupid college football fans when they pull stunts like that. Monday the school votes against playing football. Tuesday the coach and AD try to pitch to idiot fans that they want to "explore options" to play football.
