Yeah, UCF probably has more alumni pay for play opportunities than we do.But this will help miami. Says our delusional fanbase.

History suggests that major markets alway beat small markets in endorsement dollars. I would be interested in seeing if a marketing firm would agree with your analysis. Legal marketing brings in dynamics that are well beyond bag money. The problem with the Miami market is competition. Endorsements from Dolphins, Head, and Marlins players would be competition for UM players. That competition doesn’t exists in the entire state of Alabama.
the advantage UM has would be free cars, boat rentals, clubs, etc.

The guy on the left could make SI’s cover but not get any endorsements in Miami? I think you underestimate what legal image sales would do in a major market.

Even if we could please tell me where we could fit a stadium and parking there
I would assume that top players will have marketing professionals who know the rules and then tell the players what is available legally in each market. Not sure Bubba Ford in Alabama is going to come out the best plan.
I hope this is right, but its going to take a real entrepreneur to do it, because Miami will not. I hate to say it, but there could be real opportunities for someone like @Peter Ariz to coordinate this kind of thing, and get the players signed up. If not, teams like Alabama, LSU & Clemson will be set up 1st and will bury all the new guys. I'm sure agents & universities will be heavily involved in the future of this whole thing looking for any advantage, at least the ones that win will be.History suggests that major markets alway beat small markets in endorsement dollars. But you are thinking of the world as it exists. Let’s say top recruit is making a decision after the world changes. That top recruit might conclude that there will be great sales in a major market. He then picks a Miami or USC or UCLA.Yeah, endorsement dollars for people someone has heard of. People in Miami-Dade can't name three UM players.

I think there is an opportunity for Miami, but I dont think they have the vision to embrace it. Its going to take private enterprise, a real entrepreneur type that gets their hooks into these kids and the administration.Agreed. Schools with larger alumni will profit from this. Not private schools.
No. Used it as to the competition argument between the canes and the dolphins. Plenty of cash for both. Dorsey would have gotten paid. 26 would have been set up. Duke would have been. Etc.So you had to go back 35 years to find one example of one guy who could make money?
This might be true. But the school isn’t really involved other than compliance. It will be marketing firms. Big business.I think there is an opportunity for Miami, but I dont think they have the vision to embrace it. Its going to happen, no doubt. Its a win all the way around. Bama gets a blue chip, he gets paid some money, school makes some money and 1,000 kids in Kenya get a shirt.
Miami cares about the Canes when they win as in all leagues. Patriots had an empty stadium till Parcells showed up. The idea is to leverage the possibilities to get recruits. This will become a well oiled machine. It will favor the big markets and national brands. We are both. We apparently just forgot we are. Sleeping giant.Again..........Miami is a "major market" solely because of the number of people who live there. Those people do not care one bit about Miami football. There is no market if people don't care. How is Helly Hansen doing in Miami?
What you dont want (if you are a Miami fan) is said marketing firm to be unbiased, because they'll outsource Miami talent to the SEC. Miami needs that firm to be as pro-Miami as possible. Also, the SEC schools will find it much easier to relocate families, Miami needs to see if they can get these local kids families in new homes, housing costs are higher in Miami. This might be true.
