So technically

Ferrari and BMW dealerships near Tuscaloosa, Columbus and such will be booming.

Jewelry stores too.
LOL...I live in Bama and actually am working in Tuscaloosa as I type this, I know for sure there arent any Ferrari dealerships in TTown and I dont even think there is a BMW dealership however there are plenty of John Deer, Kubota and Mahindra dealerships...oh and dont forget about the snapper lawn mower dealerships and used tire stores...LOL

Maybe Manny can put their likeness on the side of his yacht and start a bar with a few ****tails named after them... that should get tons of bag money

Players getting paid they need to be taxed on that money. Right now people are not being taxed on the money they receive in the envelope. This could change the view as well as where kids go to school. Fl resident don't pay state income tax so this could definitely benefit Miami

Can't wait till some boosters at Bama pre order 20,000.00 player likeness jerseys then donate them to some third world country to get a donation under his belt, a name on some dirt road in Bolivia, and secure a recruit for his squad. This model is going to be great.
...and writes the donation off in his taxes. What a time to be alive.

"You get more snapper, with a Snapper!" Hey, I can see recruits lining up.

Players can not strike deals with the university and therefore have no right to profit from UM jerseys sells.
However they could strike a deal with Adidas(correct me if I'm wrong) and they could make shirts with the players number and name on it just no university logo.

This was the final nail in our coffin, in my opinion. How anyone can think this benefits us when there are schools out there raising $200 million dollars earmarked for their football program in a matter of months is beyond me.

The problem with the Miami market is competition. Endorsements from Dolphins, Head, and Marlins players would be competition for UM players. That competition doesn’t exists in the entire state of Alabama.

the advantage UM has would be free cars, boat rentals, clubs, etc.
Bama, Clemson, and others are getting this now. Who knows what they'll be getting when there are no rules.

Not just that, you also have local music and other entertainment figures. Athletes from the pro sports teams in the other parts of the state compete for that space. And don't forget the amount of Florida and Florida State fans, there are going to be high profile kids at those schools that take up ad space down here as well. Our own stadium honored the Florida gators for gods sake. Are there more billboards in Miami than Tuscaloosa? Of course there are. But the college football team is the only thing in the region that is marketable, and if you are a local business owner making a decision on the kid from a team that puts 40k in the stands for a .500 team or an actual celebrity that has a larger reach and influence, you are looking out for the best interest of your company not the Miami hurricanes.

If anyone thinks this is a benefit to us you're mistaken.
The guy on the left could make SI’s cover but not get any endorsements in Miami? I think you underestimate what legal image sales would do in a major market.
