Where is this fantasy loophole people are referring to? A pipe dream.

That idiot Swafford phucked us and then bounced. He put the conference in a ****** deal. He left so he wouldn't have to face the music and his successor doesn't have to take the blame.

Although Phillips has already phucked things up by voting NO to have conference champions as automatic qualifiers to the CFP. The he had that ridiculous tirade at the ACC Football media days.

swafford isnt all to blame. you do know rad and all the other ADs that were there approved of it right

This is actually a statement closer to the truth than "Waaah, waaaah, there are no loopholes, the Grant of Rights is IRONCLAD"...

It's like people have never watched a building or a dam collapse. You don't have to remove over half of the support beams. You just need enough of the load-bearing beams to collapse, and then gravity does the rest.

When the top 4 (or 6) teams leave the ACC and are "willing" to eat the cost, ESPN will pull out and the whole house of cards will collapse.

People around here are crazy, acting as if universities are going to give lengthy notice, lots of press conferences, and a detailed road map of how the deal is going to go down. Look, a lot of this is fairly unprecedented and will require some massive poker-playing skills, but it's not impossible.

If he states "we're happy where we are", he'd end up being called a liar

If he says "we're looking around " we would have to expect a cold shoulder from the ACC

Money talks. I'd expect us to eventually make the best decision for MIAMI, when the time is right

He should've said A-C-C-See-See-Ya-Later! Then did the DX crotch chop and walked off while smoking a cigarette in the Dice Clay arm behind the head manner.

Anything less obviously means we're staying in the conference until 2036.

Just hopefully UNC is willing to GTFO, cause I think they are the most structural member of the ACC. If they go its over.
 
Here’s an idea folks:

Professional ppl usually keep things close to the vest to not show their hand, especially when a contract is involved. Words r very important.

Let me give u a personal example; so while working for a former employer, there were rumblings that structural changes were coming to our compensation, b/c some of us (cough, cough, cough) were making more than the execs, due to a grandfather clause. Well, wouldn’t U know a town hall meeting was called to squash the rumblings. The verbiage used was “at this time, we don’t see anything changing…our focus, at this time…”

Well ppl were so excited, thanking & kissing the execs ***, except for ya boy. Why? B/c they were right, at THAT time, no change was happening, & there focus was on us, as in not forming a union b/c we were non unionized. They couldn’t make a change until the end of the yr, and boom, a change came as they had to “pivot.”

Don’t get so caught up on what Rad says publicly about anything, b/c when contracts r involved, u have to play coy.

It’s also pretty likely non-disclosure agreements were signed across the board.
